Mad game, both teams shooting has been brutal.

It must be a dream come true for Meath to see Aidan O Shea playing so far away from their goals.

Some of the frees being given to both sides are a joke......gaa really need to come up with a properly defined tackle. If you even look at one man it's a free.......another man gets half killed no free.

To be fair to Meath they can only beat whats in front of them and are doing well. Its grim stuff though. Football is gone chronic.

Feel for the keeper but is he a natural keeper or someone they have converted into a keeper?

He doesn't seem to know the basics of shot stopping.

Replying To Rayo1:  "Meath shooting is awful.....missed goal chance will prove costly. Mayo too slowly pull away and win handy."
Exactly As you predicted......you know your stuff :)

Someone needs to talk to Conlin.

I know he's young etc but that is just stupid. Shooting from ridiculous angles under pressure.

Meath missed their chance with the 3 wides on the bounce. Both teams shooting is awful. And its not a once off.

This is the worst referring performance I've ever seen , somehow only a Meath player has been black carded, someone explain that one to me?. Meath threw that game away experience killed them , missed so many easy chances.

Meath deserve great credit for their year...but today just as in previous games the lack of quality up front has done for them. Be interesting to see if they can push on again next year but they really need to unearth one or two more forwards for that to happen.

We have no bench and lack a couple of forwards. We need to keep the core of that group together. Too many lads have drifted away over the last 10 years. New keeper, couple more forwards plus a midfielder. The keeper is hurting us every game.

McEntee needs to look further afield and probably bring a few lads back into the fold who opted out.

Newman injury and Meath keeper cost Meath game.
Meath keeper cost Meath 2-3 today from bad short kickouts and penalty

Commiserations to Meath. Played some lovely football and Mickey Newman going off was a big setback for ye. We dugout a win that unlikely after 50 minutes but we'll need a lot of injuries to heal, a lot of shooting practice and a bigger shovel to dig out a win v Donegal in 2 weeks time.

I'm amazed at Aidan O'Shea's ability to stay on the field for a full game after repeated poor performances. He's not up to inter county standard at all. His brother Seamus is a far better player
