I feel this is a big day for this Cavan team. Have they had a decent season?! When you look at the damage Armagh did to Monaghan how big a win was Cavan beating Monaghan! In my opinion there manager seems to be tactically smart which got them over the line in a replay against a team they seem to be on a par with. Cavan people have been talking up this team as being the real deal ready to benefit from the years of underage success and they're now at the right age to make an impression. I'm yet to be convinced they're much more than a top 9-12 team fighting with a number of other average teams. Hence why I think today is massive for them, I don't think Tyrone will win the All Ireland and are probably between 3rd - 6th in the country. To me this is a game Cavan should be at least be competing in and making it an edge of the seat Championship match, do that or win it then maybe this Cavan team have arrived - lose comfortably like the Ulster final then I think people will draw there own conclusions about how good they are and if progress has really been made in terms of competing with the top teams. sam1884 (UK) - Posts: 999 - 06/07/2019 15:30:32 2206266 Link

Can turn the TV off till 7." Division 2 team no matter what Cavan posters try to tell us and on there last two performances nothing to worry about even in Division 2 next spring. Looks like they got a bit of luck with the draw and even then struggled to qualify for an Ulster final. The age profile of the team shows Cavan will certainly not be getting near the top table anytime soon.
