That's the way it goes. Then come all Ireland semi final stage we'll have no Connacht teams. Injuries and wear and tear hitting Mayo badly. By far the best Connacht team of the last 10 years. The Rossies are plucky and a nice little team but sadly out of their depth at Super 8. Someone forgot to tell Galway that you need to score more than the opposition to win a match.

What's new, Connacht had no team winning an all ireland from 1966 to 1998. 2 all irelands in 53 years 1998 and 2001.

I see you're counting Dublin as a province now. Fair enough.

Are games at neutral venue on home advantage for losing prov finalists?

My preference would be to draw mayo, second to that Clare as I feel we would win. Also think we would beat Tyrone (should have last year only for ref). So really don't care who we play. Think we will beat anyone, Connacht will be shown up for how poor of standard it is, I mean when division two Roscommon can win it. God how I would love to have Meath moved there.

Can't understand why they don't just do the draw after the games last night or even today , traveling fans need to time to know what way their going to travel and if they've to book into hotels or b n b's and stuff. Why they wait til tomorrow morning I'll never know.

Whoever Laois play will be a step up compared with their progress to round 4, but I think Meath will go through. I think they'll be able to write off their Dubs performance as a blip and won't be carrying it into next week. For Laois it'll depend on who they get, but they wouldn't start as favourites against any of the potentials (which doesn't necessarily mean they've no chance). For instance, Galway have been struggling for form this year and might be a bit vulnerable, except of course if they get my own county... that'll get them back up and focussed for one game anyway!

Definitely the handiest team left in the draw..it would be great to get them!

Galway would be the team I'd love to get. Very over rated.

Agree with you.
Very strange, we have to wait till tomorrow morning to know who we playing then have to wait until later or maybe tie to find out venues and times. Crazy stuff

We can't play Galway, don't know how you can say we can play them when we can't. Pity. I do agree though they are the handiest team left. How long has it been since both Galway teams were out in first week of July????

I've been trying to figure out where the matches might be played. Now the 3 teams Meath can get would be probably be in this order Tyrone would be in either clones or Cavan? Clare most likely portlaoise, or outside bet tullamore, mayo?? This is the one I'm stuck on longford is too small so Hyde park?? Or will they throw a double header into Croke park??

All 4 qualified teams will be playing for a 3rd consecutive weekend while the beaten Provincial teams have had time to relax and recover....wonder will that have any bearing!
