Cork v Laois: Laois. No idea why. It kills me that one of these will be in the super 8s and we (probably) won't.
Galway v Mayo : Galway. Mayo just have too many injuries.
Cavan v Tyrone : Tyrone. Barring the best Cavan performance in decades it's going to be Tyrone. But it'll be close I think.
Clare v Meath : again, I'm sickened one of these will be in the super 8s with handy routes compared to ourselves. Clare hopefully. Thought Meath were shocking against Dublin, struggling to see how they made it out of division two.

Cork vs Laois: Laois by 2
- If Cork bring in their form against Kerry they will win by 4/5. But hoping they bring their league form

Tyrone vs Cavan: Tyrone by 3
- They have all the momentum, but I hope i'm wrong, would love to see Cavan in Super 8s

Galway vs Mayo: Galway by 2
- Connaught final was surely a wake up call for Galway & Mayo riddled with injuries

Meath vs Clare: Clare by 2
- Leinster final was an outlier, but I saw Meath against Laois and they weren't as impressive as the final scoreline suggested and they struggled over Offaly. Clare able to live with Kerry and Mullingar a tough place to go and win, they have the momentum

Cork v laois- laois to be this years surprise package in the 8s. Dont think cork will replicate their Munster final performance.

Galway v mayo- galway as mayos injuries will harm them and galway will be hurting massively. Close game though.

Cavan v Tyrone- cavan, possibly after extra time and I expect this to be the closest game. Cavan will be well rested and like galway, hurting massively after a performance which didn't represent them in the Ulster final.

Meath v Clare- Clare looked good against wh and have a bit of momentum. A draw here wouldn't surprise me either.

Ned I know where you're coming from that Cavan would merit a top 8 position on form and ability. But you know aswell as I do that it's the luck of the draw that 2 of Cork, laois, Meath and Clare will be in the super 8s so there's no use complaining about those teams, you can complain about the system but not the teams who beat who they drew in the provincials and qualifiers.

Mayo v Galway.. Despite the injuries one last kick from Mayo, if Aidan O'Shea makes it. Mayo by a point.
Meath v Clare.. Clare by 3 points. The Leinster final has to have scarred Meath.
Cork v Laois.. Laois rarely beat Cork in hurling or football. We lost an U21 All Ireland by giving 2 soft goals away to Cork in 2007. Heart over head for this one, Laois by a point.
Tyrone v Cavan.. Which Tyrone will turn up. It looks like the Tyrone of the last 2 weekends. All teams in the country bar Dublin would have difficulty with that. Tyrone by 3. Sad to see plucky, skillfull Cavan go, if they do.

It's called luck of the draw Ned, last year meath got Tyrone in the first round of the qualifiers the year before we got Donegal it's swings and roundabouts, Donegal hammered Cavan in the Ulster final so perhaps Cavan arnt ready for the big boys just yet.

Galway v mayo ,Galway to win by 3+ be close game until last 10 mins and mayos tired legs and injuries they won't cope with fresh Galway team

Cork v laois , cork to win

Cavan v Tyrone ,be a good game this Cavan will put it up to them but Tyrone will win

Meath v Clare , anyone's guess but I'll go for Meath

Shame the supers 8s won't have Galway Mayo Tyrone and Cavan in it ,be less chance of 1 team getting 3 hammerings in it like Meath will get in their group but that's the luck of the draw everyone has the right to be in it.

Donegal and Dublin All Ireland final

Galway v Mayo

Mayo's experience should come through if they can find a way around the maroon wall that will face them.

Cavan v Tyrone

Tyrone. Good tactics and game management against Kildare and if Cavan can't keep Harte quiet then Tyrone should be comfortable enough here.

Cork v Laois

Laois. Cork are not very good, no matter how many Kerry men trying to justify their own team's shocking defensive performance against them say they are. Laois aren't much better but they probably should have beaten Meath and reached a Leinster final but for goal chances spurned. Cork always seem to struggle following a defeat also. Could go either way but I'll go for Laois.

Meath v Clare

Meath. Nobody is that bad. My aul wan would score 4 points on a Sat night after a few Southern Comforts and a game of bingo. I've every faith in my neighbours. Big games needed from Menton, Newman, O'Sullivan and Conlon in particular. Never thought I would say it but Hon the Royal.

Jeez lads 3 tough games to call this weekend apart from Cork they should have no problem.
Cavan v Tyrone..... pure Ulster dogfight and Cavan have no fear of the O Neill men. Tyrone to win.
Meath v Clare..... Clare will burst a gut for the banner County in this one but royaldunne will love me for this.... Meath to win.
Galway v Mayo...... Mayo will have massive support at this and if Galway play the way we did in the 2nd half of Connacht final we are doomed! There is a big game in Galway so Galway to win.

They lost by 11 points. Surely it's a bit of a stretch to say that they should have won the game. I'd be amazed if Laois beat Cork.

In fairness Ned we made it out of Division 2 by winning 6 of our 7 games.

Big challenge for us against Clare though.

They missed 3 absolute sitters at a time when there was little between the sides. Had they scored then then there would have been daylight between them. Instead they surrendered.
