Are Dublin not box office? The capital would surely naturally have big viewing figures by size of population?

Plenty space on the Hill for you to see your beloved Dubs legend. Don't you be worrying!

The only provincial football game bar the finals being shown by RTE is Tyrone v Donegal . RTE should hang their heads in shame .

As someone from a dual county I'd agree that the football has been mistreated this year. It's like groundhog day every Sunday watching the same few teams play eachother.

There have been so many good football games this year and we've hardly hit June.

I'd say there will be plenty of room all over crokepark when it comes to Dublin games from now on .

Who wants to pay €30/€40 to see their team get hammered.

They are expecting a crowd of around 30,000 for sundays double header which is awful.

There will be a tiny kildare crowd there and even though ill be there, i cant blame others for not wanting to fork out 35 quid for what could and probably will be a drubbing

Hopefully a small crowd and low profile affair, be grand and handy to get a pint. ;)

They should keep 'Hill 16' closed if small crowd expected.

Like they do for every other county? But this is Dublin - special treatment of course.

Are Dublin not box office?

Says the Kerry man that started yet another thread about Dublin GAA.. they are seemingly box office enough for you to highlight them and start a thread

Many of your fellow county men have already and will be continuing to pack their columns full of all things Dublin over the coming weeks...

As will your fellow county men on this site.

The real stuff hasn't began yet.

Kerry/Mayo are the international reference given the history and influx of immigrants to london and the states.
Dublin have their own bubble in the emerald isle so it's up to them to promote it given they are No 1 on the domestic front.
If anything its total disrespect to Kildare who have some good young players coming through the system.

Firstly, A lot of provincial funding has been supplied to the capital to assist the Blue Wave plan of at least 5 All-Ireland per decade.

Secondly, it's normal on all sports to keep an eye on defending champions. As a tv licence payer, I want to see how the Dubs are shaping up, regardless of how long the semi-final is competitive for.

I think there 3 live hurling games and 1 live football game this weekend. What's going on?

Well Dublin are +14 in the handicap. A game where the "experts" (bookies) say that is a foregone conclusion is not box office and not something that needs to be televised. Mind you, I do think it will be a lot closer than that but a certain Dublin win all the same.

The state broadcaster have turned their back on the provincial championships in favour of hurling.

Hmm, interesting.

So have you changed your mind or are you just creating waffle for the sake of it now?

Your below post suggests that you are quite confused on this matter, which of your opinions is your actual opinion?

Because the below post which you shared is in complete contrast to your latest opinion above.

You mentioned the below in relation to Royaldunnes observations in which he highlighted the lack of football coverage as a missed trick by RTÉ considering how competitive it's been.

"The Munster Hurling Championship is the GAA's finest silver. It is box office. The GAA are shrew. RTE are shrewd"
