I would agree. I would say Blues still the favourites by a considerable bit. made easy work of it so far. the other three can turn it on in their day. Dreadnots were in control of league semi against martins until a fortuitous goal swung it the Jocks way in the end. Haggardstown men are very topsy turvy to be honest but all they need is 1 big performance and they're in a Joe Ward final. Jocks have consistency all year and are geared nicely for return to the big day. All to play for!

A good few years ago Noamh Martin were playing in a match and they got in to a fight. The opposition called them Jocks and the name stuck since then.

A friend of mine from Monaghan doesn't get the club names in Louth!!

Place names are missing from most of them in his opinion. Plus he doesn't get the whole nickname thing on clubs, reckons its a real soccer thing!! I just laugh at this.

Just naming a club after where you're from is a bit boring. Nicknames are a soccer thing... LoL, like the Cats, the Kingdom, the Farneymen etc etc... It ain't no soccer thing tell you're mate, this is real football

At the end of this month it will be the 40th anniversary of pope John Paul the second visit to Killiner, Monsterboice. Forty years later Saint JP Rooney will pop up to score the winner for the Jocks.

Can't see it happening Ollie think blues going to be winning senior for a long time no seems to be even close to them at all

I tipped the Blues myself to do the three in a row this year. I would love to see the Jocks win it.

Id be very careful about discarding the Gers and Dreadnots there have been worthy winners of the Joe ward outside of the fancied teams Sean Omahoneys in recent times St Joesphs against a St Pats team in the pomp, Id say both the underdogs in each semi final are loving the limelight and the pressure it can bring not been on them ,there just getting on with there own preparation and firmly believing they have a great chance of winning JOE WARD DISMISS THEM AT YOU PERIL.

You must of not seen many games this year gers no where near good enough Marys should of bet them and jocks hammered them in the league final the dreadnots are to old and chock artists had there chances many times before and done nothing it will be a Blues Jocks final again and Blues will win it by 5 or 6 you heard it hear first

Seen more than my fair share of club cship matches at all grades and although it is hard to disagree with anything you said Benny on any given day in any match anything can happen and the Gers and Clogher are more than capable of showing up and causing an upset.
