Fair play to Mayo that's Kerry's first loss.
Better team won.

Replying To GeniusGerry:  "Congrats to mayo deservedly coming out on top of a good competitive game in dreadful conditions. Aidan O'Shea was incredible and the tackling and workrate all over the field was immense.

Kerry hopefully will have learned more tonight than they did in any of the wins to date. Serious issues in defence and midfield I am afraid."
Kerry are coming but I think this year is a year too early. Mayo are always dangerous when everyone writes us off. Credit where it's due AOS played a blinder. Ruane too

No doubt. I and many others have said it's at least a year too early but there seems to be an effort to build up Kerry in the media. We have made great progress so far but tonight was an eye opener for PK and his charges.

Mayo were worth more than a 2 point victory too much hype surrounded Kerry coming into this game I have watched almost every kick of Kerry's wonderful 5 in a row minor run Not one physical presenc in any of those backlines al dainty footballers but against bigger opposition can be blown over Mayo waltzed through them tonight reminiscent of 2 years ago How many hand passes did they attempt tonight They just could not get the ball to a forward in a scoring position Full forward line almost redundant Best of luck to PK and co I am sure h herculean effort will go into it but until they find men with the physical strength and ability of Aidan O Mahony Marc O Sè they will struggle at the business end of things Writ Mayo off at your peril Their youngsters reall impressed me Kerry just could not match Aidan o Shea and youn Ruane and they cold open the Kerry defence as Moses supposedly opened the Red Sea Could this be Mayo's year ? Eh you wrote them off? Are you forgetting you're post after the Dublin game ? Can posters stop getting so carried away after a defeat or victory please.

Mayo
Kerry
Tyrone
Galway
Donegal

Will all have big says in stopping the 5 in a row nothing in the league has changed my mind even if you're team gets hammered at different stages.

Aidan O Shea outstanding tonight

37 I wouldn't be so tough on our boys, we've played against 6 blanket defenses so far and I'd think we'll do well if we get to the league final in crokepark coz it's a big pitch.

After yesterday's results you're predicting you can't see a team beating another team ? Let's wait and see but I don't think anyone would be shocked if Monaghan n Galway won.

I wrote off our chances long before last night's game. I was even more alarmed when I saw the team selections. I haven't predicted one result correctly for us this league, teams generally don't find form from nowhere, though maybe the two week break was a factor. I still don't see us making the final. I predicted Kerry v Tyrone before the league started and that's still looking most probable to me at this point given the likely results next weekend.

Mayo played against a blanket last night too at times. Kerry were ferocious in their tackling at times...Buckley's fingerprints can be seen already s

Well done Mayo, excellent record in Tralee continues.
Horrendous conditions last night likely see you in 2 weeks in Croke Park.

Well done to Mayo. I thought their midfield was absolutely immense. Aidan O'Shea performed to his ability in his best position and Matthew Ruane was absolutely everywhere, he never stopped running. Mayo have great options at midfield with the 2 boys who played there tonight and Diarmuid O'Connor and Tom Parsons. If I was James Horan I would even look at playing 3 midfielders. Kerry's options at midfield are very poor compared to Mayo's.

dress rehearsal for the final no doubt but I must object to the Black and Tan outfit of kerry on the 100 anniversary of that war of terror. They really need to switch jerseys for the final, especially for Croke Park.
