Yes still waiting on master fixture list. Clubs have been informed football leagues will commence weekend of March 3rd.
I see U20 football and hurling leagues up and running although alot of games cancelled. Will be interesting to see how that pans out.

I see all League fixtures and now championship fixture dates have been confirmed. Credit to the county board where it's due, clubs can now put plans in place for the year and hopefully all will stick rigidly to the fixture dates.

However, I also see provisional dates for U20 championship in April and May with no finish dates. This is madness at the height of college exams and run up to leaving cert!!!
The U20 is a great competition but is a challenge to get played at any regular time. The U20 league appears to have been scrapped with only 1 or 2 fixtures played out of the first 2 rounds. While it was a fair idea, I'm not sure how much thought went into fixing it!

It's almost mid March now and still the plan for the year isn't in place.
Most club players want to plan and book holidays so it doesn't cost a fortune.

We also need as a county to stop planning from week to week and plan on a 12 day basis giving clubs two weeks to plan training and allow players to organise time off in many cases. Waiting for fixtures to come out on a Sunday or Monday is ridiculous.
