Win or bust for Wexford and Antrim both counties already on the back foot the loser of this game will have a long hard GAA season ahead with nothing to play for.
Wexford are one defeat away from implosion I feel.

Well Division 4 took its first twist with Wexford bouncing back after a real heavy defeat to leave Antrim in big trouble!
It was win or bust for Wexford and now they're back in the hunt after 7 days ago being deflated.

Antrim have to win against Leitrim next Sunday or its more or less over for them. Wicklow gave everything they had against us and showed that they will definitely be in the promotion pack with Wexford chasing Leitrim. This was a ding dong battle, end to end stuff. It was hard to believe we were watching a Div 4 game. Some scores would not look out of place in Div 1. A rip roaring encounter was how the paper described it. We got out of jail in Aughrim with a bit of luck which is normally never on our side. They say you make your own luck if you can believe that. Aughrim is definitely a place where someones promotion could be undone.

Limerick in the hunt too but have played easier matches. It gets harder for them now. Derry doing what we expected getting the wins. Haven't seen any of their matches so I don't know how good they are performing.

Wexford used the experience to see off a very negative Antrim side on Sunday last. Antrim played far too many men behind the ball with the wind in the second half against 14 men.

Wexford really stepped up in this game knowing it was win or bust.

Wexford will need Leitrim to slip up in one game and also win every game from here out including beating Derry to gaurantee a chance of qualification and promotion and even at that the scoring difference charts are against the purple and gold currently.

One would feel Derry and Leitrim will be on three wins from three after this weekend and continue to hold the box seats in Division 4.

Remember head to head comes into play if two teams finish level on points

Scoring difference only counts when three teams finish level on points.

For me at this stage its Derry and Leitrim's to lose.

I'd say there could be a few twists and turns in this Division yet, there always is in Division 4.
Leitrim are probably favourites to beat Antrim but when the ball is thrown up at 2 in Carrick all that goes out the window. We have to play the game of our lives again for the 3rd week in a row.
I would expect Wexford to also win on Sunday against London. I would expect Wicklow to account for Limerick based on their performance against us and also Derry to account for Waterford.
I think the Leitrim Antrim game is the one that could go either way. Antrim are a wounded animal after loosing 2 games and thats very dangerous for us. They are one of those teams that you just don't know what to expect from them.
Leitrim are not the finished article yet, we have lots of areas to improve in and I'm beginning to think the Leitrim Wexford result was a bit of a freak. If we were to play at a neutral venue tomorrow there would not be 13 points in it.

We could slip up yet. We 'should' win our games but it genuinely wouldn't surprise me to lose at least one. We scraped past Antrim and although we accounted for London handily enough, with all due respect, they aren't the strongest. We also picked up a few injuries in that game and we don't have the biggest panel, a lot of young boys.
Having Leitrim and Wexford at home should hopefully help in the event it came down to head to head.

I think Wicklow could put it up to Limerick. I'll go for a draw in that game and wins for Derry, Wexford and Leitrim.

Wicklow should have no problem with Limerick in Aughrim. I was very impressed with them against us. They are a well drilled outfit, super fit, organised but maybe lacking a scoring forward in the inside line. On the 40 Anthony McLoughlin is the key man. He got injured against us which scuppered their chances. He can cut holes in a defence. Whether he will be playing or not I'm not sure.
Watch out for their goalie Mark Jackson. This guy can kick spectacular frees. He won that day against Waterford and he almost burst our bubble too.

This is a huge weekend for Leitrim. If they beat Antrim, they have an excellent chance to go up. Hope they do it - I have always had a soft spot for them.

Best of luck to Leitrim. Don't think theres a county in in Connacht that wouldn't like to see them climb from Div 4

Leitrim will kick Antrim up a stick I have seen both teams in action and there is only one winner and its Leitrim by 7-10 points.

Hope that Leitrim can escape division 4. It would be great to see them playing in a final in Croke Park.

Lucky to get the win today but we're a little bit closer to promotion now. Limerick next though will be another huge challenge, they are still very much in contention too.

We beat wexford, Wicklow and now antrim today. By any standard of Division 4 that is good going, 3 week ends in a row. Everyone has lost in this division now except us and Derry. In reality that means if we beat limerick in the next game then we are practically home and hosed.

I hate how you sometimes need to win every game to get out of div 4 yet win two games can keep you in div 3!!

Another big 2 points yesterday for Leitrim. We dug it out at the death for the second week in a row which is pleasing but still plenty of improvement needed.

The win sets us up nicely for the promotion run in. While Derry haven't pulled up any trees to day I expect them to beat everyone and therefore finish on 14 points. As a Leitrim man I want Derry to beat both Wicklow and Limerick! If Derry get turned over by one of these then it will turn the division into a real dogfight. Wicklow beating Limerick yesterday was a good result for us also (so thank you to our Wicklow friends!!)

If we can win down in Limerick in two weeks time I think that is us promoted also (no disrespect to London and Waterford whatsoever but I expect us to beat both at home.)

Looking at the remaining fixtures for our other promotion challengers (Wicklow and Limerick) they both have to play Derry, Antrim and Wexford. Even if we lose below in Limerick In two weeks time I believe another two wins (to leave us on a total of 10 points) will see us finish in the top two. After us limerick have Derry (H), Wexford (A) and Antrim (H). I think they could lose below in Wexford. Wicklow have yet to go to Derry and Belfast and I expect them to lose both.

So let's say worst case scenario Limerick beat us as do Derry and we beat London and Waterford. We will finish with 10 points and two defeats. Limerick after beating us suffer two defeats from the last three games meaning they've lost 3 and similarly with Wicklow.

It really would be some implosion for us to finish on less than 10 points now.

Bookies have us as 1/12 shots to be promoted and as I said last week I've yet to meet a poor bookie. And as someone who likes a bet and leaving my loyalties to one side I don't think I have ever backed against a 1/12 shot!

All this may come across as slightly arrogant but I can assure you it couldn't be further from the case. I am fully aware we still have lots to do and London and Waterford certainly won't come to Carrick and roll over.

Finally, a day Out in Croker would be fantastic but for me that is secondary. It is all about promotion and finishing in the top two and getting out of the pit that is Division 4.

Roll on Limerick in two weeks

Just shows how tight this league can be though and how it can come down to small margins. Our matches against Derry and Leitrim could have easily have went our way but instead we lost both by the minimum and now the season is all but over bar our 2 championship games. You either laugh or you cry!!!

Div 4 is ruthless when it comes to this.

We have been on the receiving end of it from years so i do understand your pain. In years gone by Leitrim would have been beaten below in Aughrim last weekend and yesterday at home in tight games like that.
