Division 1A-8 teams
Division 1B-8 teams
Division 2A-7 teams
Division 2B-7 teams
Division 3 -8 teams

This was the structure before the change to the current in 2007 and it was more competitive and the promotion/relegation implications where more exciting."
I fully agree with this format each division competitive and it would allow promoted teams an opportunity to progress gradually going from Junior to intermediate or intermediate to senior is a massive jump but I think a promoted team would fair better in a B league whilst trying to get to grips with the standard.

On second taught,
Perhaps the following would be a bit more competitive;
Division 1-8 teams
Division 2A-8 teams
Division 2B-8 teams
Division 3A-7 teams
Division 3B-7 teams.

I think the jump from div 3 to div 2 would be better helped with the above structure.
But, this will probably not happen as removing teams from division 1 could be a thorny issue.

Yea I think the idea was always to sort out the big problem in Div 3 see how the smaller divisions work. I reckon we'd be onto a winner with a split like mentioned above.

That would work the best. I think the whole reason behind the change to 3a 3b was to have more competitive games if the Mitchels where in 3a don't think it would make the division more competitive just have equal games. Tommy Kirk to the seans is a good move on there part he'll have them well drilled and disciplined if they can get the numbers I'd fancy them.

I know what you are saying about Mitchels but keeping divisions even would be good in terms of clubs getting even amount of games. I think it can be changed in February when competition regulations proposed and accepted don't quote me on that either I've been known to be wrong"
Your very seldom wrong especially with your inside knowledge

I think clubs would rather play in 3B rather than 5...just sounds a little bit better...so clubs are more likely to accept it... that's my opinion
