Replying To katser:  "A bit like Division 2...Division 3 is very even and difficult to predict as all teams are capable of beating eachother! So I'll take a chance on 4 home wins...Westmeath, Longford, Offaly and Louth."
Again another 3/4 this weekend..it really is hard to call these matches!! Congratulations Down you are doing well so far!

Just think the Longford lads might be all back next week.
Westmeath should win by a few pts.
Offaly with a little bit of confidence might just do it.
Carlow at home should win.

So the two teams heading the division are going to lose. I don't think so.

It's not like anyone is running away with it. There are 3 points separating top from the relegation spots.

I think we will kick on after our long overdue win (very unlucky in opening three games-arguably ould be top had things fallen differently) and can see us challenging for a promotion spot. Nice bit of experience back on the panel with niall mc to make a huge difference in remaining games.

Down will easily beat Offaly and that will be your promotion gone and you will be fighting for relegation.

Fighting for relegation? With home games against laois and sligo? Sure.

I would not underestimate Offaly.

Winners.
Down,
Laois,
Westmeath,
Louth.
Offaly's next home game is Laois, and then away to Sligo in the final game. That could be a relegation/promotion decider.

I don't envisage that happening. Even if down happen to turn us over I can see us heading into the match v an already relegated sligo on a minimum of 5 points meaning we'd be heading for 7 points after disposing of them.

John and the lads will be kicking themselves if they don't get something out of this weekend as the remaining games are clearly winnable fixtures. 9 points has a good shout at promotion.

I was wrong about being at home to sligo. But still....

The win over Carlow was long overdue, and hard earned, but it should have been Offay's third home win, the losses to Westmeath and Louth mean promotion is not in our own hands.
Anyway good luck to JohnMaughan, and team v Down on Saturday night. It is unfortunate that Nigel Dunne has left the panel. One step forward, two steps backward. Hopefully the issues between himself and John Maughan can be resolved for the good of Offaly.

Yes it's bad news about nigel, hes kicked some crucial scores already this season.

Cant be looking at what we don't have though at this stage of the league and we need to just keep pushing on. Set the target of 9 points and see where that takes us.

A big game for Westmeath this weekend. Our record away to Sligo is awful. We will need to step up from the earlier rounds to justify a number of win predictions.

You're worried about an away trip to a sligo team that leaked 5 goals to LOUTH? Come on, westmeath should have more lofty goals than this.

Theres talking your team down and then theres this!

Yeah. The great run Sligo are on, I'd be surprised if Westmeath even turn up
