A very interesting weekend ahead all to play for no matter what way you look at , am I right in thinking that of all the teams Armagh is the only one that has nothing to play for? Meath I know are virtually promoted but still there is the minuscule chance they may miss out, cork are almost certainly relegated but they may survive, tipp v Clare is a relegation play off, donegal v Kildare could promote one and then there is Fermanagh and Meath. Where else would you spend a Sunday. ??

Number one I think you do try to be too sweet to Kildare supporters , we are one of their neighbours they don't like us and we don't like them end off. As for them been like us under Micko that's a joke , we were a shambles , they are not that bad now they have a lot of good big men in their team and they are still likely to be in the super eights come July

Armagh, Dublin and Sligo are the only three sides in the top divisions with nothing to play for.

Well there's a sentence I never thought I'd see written about myself. Sucking up to Kildare. And they say miracles don't happen

Who would have thunk it? Teams playing against other teams of a similar standard produces a really competitive outcome! If only we could incorporate something similar in our primary competitions!!

Freaky.

If only. Leitrim have had better attendances in the league this year than previous championship games.

Maybe the competitions should reversed with the matches in winter played on a knockout basis and the championship played on a league basis.

Its mad isnt it?
nearly ever top level competition in every other sport is played in some form of league basis.
people say counties wouldnt buy into it if they were in lower divisions but look at my own county this year promotion to division 1 would be massive and definitely celebrated, would we celebrate making a qf of all ireland or super 8s ? . the same goes for leitrim.
In every other competion you have to earn the right to play the best teams, Gaelic football should be no different.

He'll be in a good mood with Meath all but promoted, should at least be able to get a rock shandy out of him.

If Cork and Tipp win then do Cork not stay up and Clare and Tipp relegated?

Cork need to win and hope that Tipp and Clare end in a draw or a Clare victory.

Any other circumstance and Cork go down.

But they beat tipp so if tipp win and they win then surely tipp go down and scores don't come into it?
