You know rightly that won't happen with friendlies. You'll never raise money at these. This competition is already a friendly one, really, why not keep it as is. Not understanding why this needs to change away from what it is. It fits its purpose.

If they don't react well to pressure from supporters in January what chance have they when the serious business of the championship starts? Better to spot that now than when it's too late. We'll rarely watch new county players in January and be sure they'll be great in the championship. But these games can at least show players that aren't quite ready for senior intercounty action.
