Dublin Minor Team '88

(Oldest Posts First)

Just been watching a game my Dad brought me to 30 years ago on YouTube, the Dublin minors versus Galway in Croke Park. It was a poor enough match, but a lot of that Dublin team went onto play for the seniors over the years, most notably Dessie Farrell and Brian Stynes. While watching, I noticed a tricky right half forward from Raheny called Derek Howard, who kicked two points in that match. Does anyone know if he happens to be Brian's dad?

Here's the link to that match: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPo4_voKGJQ

That's right Dickie, I stayed for that one as well. That was a serious Meath team back then.

Any ideas about the Howard connection? Been wondering about that since Brian made his breakthrough a few years ago!
