Leinster Club Championship

What are DYI, Mochs and Blues chances in the Leinster Championship. Personally think the blues could upset a few teams and look to be on the better side of the draw. Mochs will have a tough game in ardee Sunday but are a strong team. Haven't seen much of DYI so can't really comment on them.

Blues will definitely fancy there chances on the weaker side of the draw ,and also no Big powers like Vincent's or Ballymun from Dublin. They possibly peaked too early this year and were flat in final ,so after that scare it might give them a wake-up call, they have some very talented players and look well equipped to do well

Best of luck to the Mochs and D.Y.I this Saturday in the Leinster club Championship. I am looking forward to the Mochs clash with Longwood. It's a repeat of the 2009 Leinster Junior Final in which Longwood won after a replay. The Leinster Inter Championship is Louth's best record with three Louth clubs winning it with the Gaels in 2003, Gers in 2013 and S.O.M in 2014. No Louth has won the Leinster Junior Club Championship. The Mochs in 2009 and Hunterstown in 2014 both reached the final.

I think DYI might do well in Leinster as they play the ball through the hands quite alot. In fact they would be in the category of teams who follow the "do not kick the ball" rule. So in the dogged wet soggy windy games they should be hard to beat.

The Martins knew the Blues really well and I can't see another team in Leinster knowing them better. This should help the Blues early in the Leinster campaign. The right people never performed on Sunday for them but they still forced alot of turnovers and by hook or by crook got a goal that got their experience kicking in when it mattered the most.

If the blues make it past the quarters, what teams can they meet in semis?

GAAdundalk the Blues will be on their travels if they make it to the last four. They could play the Wicklow Champions. The Wicklow Senior Final is on tomorrow. Rathnew are playing St Patricks with the winners playing Rhode from Offaly twenty four hours later on the Sunday. Who ever comes through that will play St Columbas from Longford. So if the Blues get past Eire Og on the 11th of November they will be on their travels two weeks later to either Wicklow, Offaly or Longford.

If the rain that is forecast falls tomorrow it could be a serious slog in Drogheda on Sunday.

A very mixed results at the weekend. DYI are the last Wee County team left standing and have a great chance of reaching the final.

Blues lads very quiet. A lot of talk of this great Blues team, the jocks threw the senior final and out in the 1st rd of Leinster to another Carlow team.
God help Wayne Kearns.
Fair play to DYI flying the flag for Louth.

Well don Irelanders. It would be great if they would go one better than their predecessors of 130 years ago who were beaten in the first All Ireland Final of 1887 played in April 1888.

Its a very poor statement for Louth Club Football to see the conquerers of the Blues beaten by 18 pts over the weekend.
On a positive note, Best of luck to the DYI in the Junior Final.

Eire Og missed plenty of chances in the first half. 6-1 at half time but EO already down to 14 men. Ended the game with 12 men. Score line doesn't really tell the whole story.
