There is no need to panic yet after the weekend. Jack has still done a great job and we are still not out of contention for promotion. All games are massive now

It would t be like some of our supporters to criticize our star players.. Luke is a fine footballer who will prove to be a great in time I have no doubt about that. I agreed there is no need to panic yet. All games left are winnable and Heslin should be back soon please god.

Typical Westmeath supporters kick a fella when he is going through a bad time leave the young man alone and give him his space lukey is a fantastic footballer and wears the jersey with pride give him time to get his head right and stop making negative comments about him here

I hear WH are playing Roscommon tonight in Athlone, mainly a run out for the extended panel.
Good to see Boyle back from a neck injury but was a bit rusty I believe which is understandable.
Maguire and Heslin will obviously be a massive boost, hopefully we'll see them v Laois Sun week.
Has anyone info on Holloway ?

Heslin and Maguire were back playing tonight, Westmeath and Roscommon second teams, Roscommon won by about 10 points.

Laois at home on Sunday. They hockeyed us in the championship last year and seem to be going well this year despite the setback against Louth.
Realistically, we have to win to keep our promotion hopes alive, whereas a loss could easily see us being dragged into a relegation battle.
Good to hear that Boyle, Maguire and Heslin are back, we need everybody available.
My team would be:
1. Carberry

2. Daly
3. Maguire
4. Sayeh or Wallace

5. Dolan
6. Mulligan
7. Gonoud

8. Duncan
9. Corroon

10. Egan
11. O'Toole
12. Martin

13. Loughlin
14. Heslin
15. McDaniel

interesting selection . kevin maguire on donie kingston would be one to see . ronan wallace has done ok
but maguire would be an asset . wallace or boidu i would pick boidu , hes all action and is playing quite well
heslin at full forward is a definite . but we have to see a more positive approach . i fear for us in this game . laois are very direct and are scoring freely . a win would be fantastic and i wish the lads the best of luck

I hope Loughlin is given the green light to roam. Fast, strong, and great on the ball.

i see we have picked an ultra defensive team for tomorrow . jamie gonoud at wing forward and we still persist with lynch
no heslin so ger egan will have to onse again carry the can . heavy defeat on the cards

I think There's a good chance that that is not the real team as has been the case in every game so far this year

Moore head. I suspect you are right . The players are good enough to win and I'm hoping to be proved wrong. I have my ticket. 10 euro for 2 games is great value. Dinner early tomorrow

The humble pie tastes sweet. This win wasome richly deserved . Every player gave his all . From Eoin car berry to ronan o toole they fought like tigers . Great to see Kevin maguire back . He improved as the game went on . John Heslin also made a good contribution . We had heroes all over the field but Baidu stood out in all facets of his play . Well done to jack and pascal and the team

I don't see why they are doing this and you are right, it is happening in nearly every game. Fair enough they may have a few positions where they are not 100% on who will start but what happened to AN Other. Great win though and fair play to them and the Management Team.

Where are all those begrudgers?

Ger Egan overlooked again on the Hoganstand team of the week. Ridiculous!

A big game this weekend away to Sligo. Our record against them away is very poor. Hopefully it improves this weekend.

vital game today . a win in sligo will move us to 7 points . our destiny would then be in our own hands
. i expect a decisive win today and lay down a marker . further thoughts when i return from sligo

Big win today . Full team performance . Great 2nd half. Lots of great displays . But luke loughlin was immense he was in great form and hungry for work . 2 games left it's as simple as this win both and we are promoted and have a final in croke park well done jack and all the team

Mick, appreciate what you are saying about pushing on for promotion but should Jack not be trying to balance this with squad development. We have stayed with the tried and trusted and given very little game time to the some members of the extended squad.
