Meath against Wexford in the Leinster football championship away back in 1963. Just shows how old I am. Match is really a blur. Remember my uncle shouting his head off for Meath and I dont think they were too impressive. Looking at the records Meath won fairly easily but went under by a point to future All Ireland champions Dublin in the semi final.

The 1987 All Ireland Football Semi- Final between Galway V Cork. Ended up a draw. Val Daly scored a brilliant goal for Galway.

Larry Tompkins equalized with a free with last kick of game. It was at least 50 yards out an incredible score.

Ah I remember it like it was yesterday the 1946 All-Ireland final between Kerry and Roscommon. Ros were 6 ahead with three minutes left but Kerry crammed in two spectacular goals and sure enough won the replay. The late great Jimmy Murray gave the below commentary

"I got my nose smashed and I was all blood, watching the game from the sideline. So the St John's ambulance men came up to me and said, 'come here until we wipe that blood off you, you will be going up for the Sam Maguire in a few minutes'. They were convinced it was just a matter of getting cleaned up and going up for the bloody cup. Then, sure, disaster struck."

Enjoyed the few pints with him whenever he was about in Knockcrockary. Hopefully the curse of 46' will be lifted soon

1996 semi final v kerry. A very young lad I was but clearly remember James Horan scoring a famous goal, lobbing the keeper from about 40 yards...a goal incidentally that the TV cameras missed.

Have had many good and bad days as a supporter since. Still waiting for the big one

Days watching from the terraces when you spent most of the time being pushed to and fro as the crowd surged as excitement mounted, and fighting to 'hold your spot'. You got to hate tall men and often missed the best scores.

Early seventies I was 5 or 6 , remember being lifted over a stile , getting an orange , the old bench that's passed as a seat , the smell in the tolilets , the first time I heard the drum roll of the Artane Boys band , I remember it all except the game but I believe it was Offaly

It was in the quarter-finals they lost to Dublin. 2-6 to 2-5.

I actually don't know.

There's a photograph in my brother's house of myself and himself, my Da, 2 uncles and 2 Grandads heading to Croker when I reckon I was about 5/6 so some game in the early 90s.

My first game that I can remember properly was the League Final in 93 against Donegal. Tom Carr getting sent off is my stand out memory. Still have the programme but I don't think that was my first time there.

Must ask my uncles as they might remember.

More than likely it could be against Meath.

Meath Vs Dublin 1986, great experience, getting the train up which in itself was a big deal then walking up from O'Connell Street and getting dinner somewhere around the top of the street (possibly called Philomena's), I'd never seen a crowd like it before, I could not tell you one thing about the game though just that the green team won.

1968 Football Final. I was 18 and had been going to matches in Munster for years before that, but Limerick were so seldom in Croke Park in those days my first trip to headquarters was relatively late.
