Just for the record, Two Mile House have to play Offaly Champions Shamrocks, in the Leinster IFC final next Saturday in Tullamore. From some posts on this website,it appears the Kildare team have already won Leinster, and are being talked about as favourites with Kilcummin of Kerry for the All Ireland.
It could all be a bit premature, Shamrocks are no pushover, and will give Two Mile House plenty to think about in O'Connor Park. There is nothing won yet, and it will all be decided next weekend.
I also see the Antrim champions won the Ulster title yesterday, beating Mullahoran of Cavan.

Replying To WanPintWin:  "The Kerry model would be hard to introduce in many counties though. The geographical spread of clubs isn't the same. In Kerry there are lots of rural clubs spread all over the county.
I also don't think having only 8 senior clubs is necessarily the best approach. There's something a bit strange about over half of the senior championship being made up of representative teams."
Well you see the divisional sides gives our senior management a chance to see the best of the junior and intermediate players play the likes of Dr crokes Austin Stack's and KOR's to see if they're able for senior football, with a small population it means no excellent players go unnoticed.

Omg number 7 why did you throw the ball I'll never know it's a simple hand pass and you win brilliant spot by the ref, GD the better team for me but Scotstown have kicked very little wide.

Ya spot on, Scotstown the far more efficient side and its keeping them in it. The ref did get that call right but Gweedore have every right to feel aggrieved by some of his decisions. The phantom free to make it 2-2 plus the free at the start of the 2nd have where the Gweedore player got railroaded with a shoulder into the chest. There were a number of other frees that could have been called by over robust tackling.

Absolutely delighted for Kevin Cassidy after his treatment by the 'guru' in 2012.

How do Monaghan teams conspire to lose the biggest games by a point or 2.. The Scotstown sending off was madness.

Full credit to Gweedore and Scotstown on putting on a brilliant Ulster final today. The conditions were absolutely horrendous so both sides can be proud of their performances. Special mention to 2 special talents in Rory Beggan and of course the man himself Odhran Macniallais. When things were looking dour in the second half he really stepped up and was immaculate in possession. I really hope the country get to really appreciate his talent at a national level. He has shown flashes at inter county but definitely not shown his full potential. I thought Beggan's kickouts laid the foundation for everything Scotstown did today. Nice touch at the end seeing Kieran Gillespie life the cup. Quality young player riddled with bad luck through injuries.

Yeah, he was booked very earlier in the first half. Didn't matter in the end. Sending off decided the game

New game extra time so yellows don't carry.

Has that always been the case?

Congrats Gweedore, tight game but they just about deserved it. Carey's red card was the biggest moment in extra time, I can't understand what he was thinking. What makes it worse is that he was perhaps Scotstown's best player alongside Darren Hughes, and could have made the difference at the end and won it for them. Really immature and rash decision making from a player who should know alot better at this stage.

Comhghairdeas daoibh Gaoth Dobhair. Ard comhlint idir an 2 fhoireann.

Ádh mór sa leath chraobh!

Hard luck to Scotstown. Threw everything at it and I thought they were looking the more likely until the sending off, really was a moment of madness from the lad but he can have no complaints.

Awful conditions probably contributed big time to an awful game. It was mind numbing to watch. Carey's ush of blood to the head deserved the red card. Eamon Magee probably lucky not to have gone earlier. Delighted for Cassidy - he played well and showed his maturity when taking the heat out of the situation at the end of normal time.

Number 7 who is a great bit of stuff hard as nails but someone ask him tonight why he threw that bad if they'd of lost that he'd never be able to show his face in GD again.

This is definitely the year of Gaeltacht clubs with An Spidéal (Connacht intermediate) agus Gaoth Dobhair (Ulster Senior) winning provincial titles. Don't think this has happened before.

Congrats to Gaoth Dobhair

Crazy red card to pick up. Ridiculous challenge and let his teammates down badly. Played a big part in the losing of that game. Senseless stuff.

I'm well aware thelongridge that Two Mile House haven't won anything yet. I said if they win. I have no doubt that Shamrocks will be formidable opposition especially at home in Tullamore.

An awful game? Bit harsh if u ask me. I struggle how someone would find a game as absorbing to be awful. In fact I think all involved should be commended for putting on any kind of spectacle given the weather conditions.

The player in question is Odhran McFadden Ferry. He had yet another fantastic game and for me was probably the standout half back in the Ulster club championship. Injuries permitting he is definitely going to be a top inter county player. As you say tough as teak and has an aggressive streak similar to the likes of Johnny Cooper and Philly McMahon. I don't think he intentionally threw the ball. He was falling and the ball I imagine was very greasy so just came out of his hand before he could get a fist on it. He did show some inexperience in extra time when racing onto foot pass free into space. He done well initially kicking the ball on on the ground but then should have gone done to pick it up as he likely could have won a free or manufactured another crucial score. Anyways immaterial as Gweedore got over the line and he can be very very proud of his contributions. He was a big leader for this team in all their games which was really impressive given his youth.
