Look friend, the match was won by generally young Limerick men, with clearly the strongest panel in the country, on the field of play. They beat Cork, Tipp and Kilkenny in route, plus the All Irelands Champions and last years beaten and the McManuses never hit a ball. Never was an All Ireland more deserved. As regards support, for years Limerick bussiness people in the city never sponsored our teams. It was always eirher people from outside, but natives, like Tommy Moran and JP or Shaws, a family who are not even Limerick natives or even the Health Board at one stage.
