Some achievement! Many congrats to Kerry. 7 points down in the first half and win by 4. Speaks volumes for the skill and character of the squad.

This team was last year's U16s so a huge amount of talent coming through.

Can't express how proud I am, to manage that, given all the turnovers in players, given how far behind they were today, given how they almost lost it against Monaghan. Just fantastic.
Paul Walsh, wow!

Is it really though? A year lost - the lads born in 2000. Good achievement all the same but hard to call it a genuine five in a row

Its still 5 in a row as its the equivalent competition. U17 replaced minor as main competition for intercounty around school leaving exams age.

And legend is that you on boards.ie who opened thread about dubs losing players to AFL?

Not really sure what you trying to say here tbh. But seems to be something about me starting a thread on boards.ie. FYI I've never even been on that particular site never mind posted anything there

A great achievement by Kerry this considering this year's team was made up of all new players. As long as the competition remains at U-17 we will probably not see any minor player winning two minor medals.
Should also mention that Kerry won this year's Junior All-Ireland for the fourth consecutive year and required by rule not to have any of the previous year's players in the squad.

Was sort of thinking the same. Tyrone won at this age group last year. However At the game on Sunday, it was the Tom Markham cup that was presented, and Kerry have now won this 5 times in a row. A great achievement. Thought overall that the difference between teams at U18 grade and U17 grade was a lot this year. The overall pace of the games is different I think. Looking forward to seeing how these players progress. Galways number 5, Kerrys center forward and 2 wing forwards, and the Monaghan number 10 from the Semi final were some players that looked good.

Tyrone won the U17 All Ireland last year so Congrats to Kerry on winning 4 in a row U18 All Irelands and last Sunday their first U17 All Ireland.

Correct, well pointed out, Kerry did not win the u17 last year. No 5 in a row at all.

Jesus lads, are ye this petty? What cup did Paul O'Se lift on Sunday - the Tommy Markem Cup, the Minor Cup. Kerry have completed 5 in a row at minor grade.
Do we disregard Munster or Leinster's previous titles in what is now the Pro 14, because previously it was the Pro 12 or the Celtic League.
It would be more in some of your interests to be highlighting the money still pouring into Dublin and what that has done to the senior game than bickering about some young fellas winning a minor All-Ireland!

A great achievement though no matter what way you look at it. It's great to see a county with such talented youth, well done Kerry

Great achievement by Kerry.
It was a very enjoyable game but minors needs to go back to u18...some of the lads playing the last day on both side hadnt hit puberty yet.
