i have heard repeatedly "limerick are young, they will have another day even if they dont win".i work in a bar in wexford and heard this from a few reps, etc.
i dont agree.next year will see tipp, kilkenny, waterford, wexford(hopefully),back and refreshed after having their summer shortened.
when opportunity knocks, you have to answer the door.

sometimes,i think young lads dont feel pressure, sometimes i think it can kill them.

unfortunately, finals are there for winning, and experience is absolutely vital when all is said and done.

totally agree munster gonna be a bearpit to get out of next year , injury free waterford, tipp and cork quality sides bolstered by 21s and fine clare side

thats why the chance for us is now and as you say these lads aint weighed down with 40 years of baggage

hopefully hopefully we do it sunday

Hope it's a close game to maintain interest`but I think Galway will be too strong for Limerick. The much acclaimed Limerick bench could be a serious let-down.

Last week and this week all talk has been tickets ticket tickets, but tickets are freeing up now so talk is now of the game , Build up has been good here flags all over the house and all over the county,

Going to take a monumental effort to beat this excellent galway side , but we are playing very well and got a great chance. We are due a break ,, please please please let us win this one

Good luck lads , Luimneach Abu"
I would not worry about past records. Galway lost finals in '90,'93, '01, 05,'12 and '15 and it did not phase them last year. If a team is good enough on the day they will win- past history mean nothing

You are worrying unnecessarily. I haven't ever heard of this being an issue but there's an easy way around it if it is. Just make eye contact with the steward at the entrance/exit to the section and tell him you'll be back in a jiffy as you are leaving.

I'm curious, why do you think that?
The much acclaimed Limerick bench had a huge impact against both Cork and Kilkenny.
Galway aren't that much better than either of those teams.

The username is appropriate in his/her case.

So Shane Dowling won't start, but when do people feel he will be brought on? I think, if Limerick are in trouble after 20 minutes he will be on.
I presume there is no chance he'll start?

Replying To Pope_Benedict:  "The reason I harp on about it, is because there's something in it. I thought Horgan gave us a good shake in last year's final, giving us a 'great call' against Fives on 62/63 mins, but six frees in that last Clare game was a questionable total, and moves Horgan firmly onto Galway's seemingly ever expanding 'referee watch list'. Perhaps Horgan is as 'troubled' as his county man Brendan Cummins seems to be, at even the possibility of Galway having the 'belief' for 2 in a row."
Ah so it's more a tipp dislike you have than a referee thing....I understand now

Don't think he will start either. At latest, I would bring him on after 40 mins. He's one of the best strikers of a ball in either panel.
I'm slightly worried for limerick that their half forward line won't have as big an impact as they have had most of the year and could suffer for it if they don't. If limerick are to win then that line needs to play well.
It'll be fascinating at the other end of the pitch with any of the limerick backs and probably at least 5 of the Galway forwards one decent performance from all stars.

No, I like Tipp. I think it was the hooped shirt, when I was a kid. Didn't see much of ye either of course, with the famine and all, 'til we started beating ye in the late 80s. Ref bet us in the 2001 final too of course, so Cummins is lucky to have 2, let alone a back to back.

Galway have looked like a team running on empty for large parts of the season whereas on the other hand Limerick seem to be coming in with a lot of energy.....but I still think Galway will have one last kick in them this year to come out on top. Prediction 1-23, 1-20

I think the 2 weeks off will do Galway the world of good. I agree with you on the score. 2 or 3 point Galway win.

Ya because ye had such a serious team in 2001

Since you're going with predictions...I'll go limerick 2-23 Galway 1-25

Tip all year you were saying Galway would win All Ireland. What has changed? For me Galway have the players and the experience so even though I think there is only a puck of a ball between teams now. I just have a feeling that Galway will put on an unbeatable performance to tomorrow.

Are Galway hurlers the most hard done by county by referee's ?
Posters here seem to suggest that they get a bad time of it regularly.

If both teams play up to max then Galway will win with 3/4 points to spare.. If Galway arent on their top game Limerick can do it and I wouldnt begrudge them a bit after a long wait and especially that near miss in 94, No more than Waterford last year but Waterford just couldnt take the chance when they edged ahead in second half.

Not really but there's probably enough material for a Masters study on the psyche of a section of our support stretching back to the time of the Keady affair and before.
