Kerry V Kildare

Kildare a magnificent team who play some really good football and I just hope they go out and do themselves justice. It would be an awful pity if they were not to snatch at least a draw after the whole battle for Newbridge saga. To finish on zero points after all the effort put in by their magnificent players all year would be a shame.

They are a fine footballing team but I think getting into the Super 8's this year has been an achievement for them. They'll have to earn any point they want and there'll be no soft points going in Kerry next week. They can build on this year and hopefully compete better in Leinster next year

Do or die for Kerry, can't see them losing at home under the circumstances. But Kildare should try bow out with another passionate performance.

Kerry by as much as they want for me.

Kildare going to Killarney with nothing to play for so can't see it going any other way.

I expect a serious performance and a significant win for Kerry at home in Killarney.
-10 for me and sign off giving the supporters something to build on for next year if the result those not go our way in Galway.

I wouldn't be so sure. Chatting to a lot of Kerry folk after the game Sunday and they don't have any faith in Fitzmaurice. A lot of the older guys on team don't seem to either. Kildare will play for pride.

Wouldn't think we will win, especially now down Dan Flynn but if Monaghan don't make the semi final it'll only be their own fault. Should have had it in the bag on Sunday when they had Kerry on the ropes. Big opportunity lost.

In fairness Monaghan are not the first county nor will they be the last to have had the chance to bundle us out of a Championship and not been able to take it down through the decades.

Its a funny one this. The first championship match for Kildare where it really means nothing to them as they are already out. The only parallel I can draw is teams already relegated playing a last league fixture. Kildare unlike roscommon have performed well in their two matches and could just as easily be in our shoes or Kerry's so you'd wonder how they will approach this one. I have no idea to be honest maybe pride will kick in and they will go for the win zero pressure on them a chance for a famous win over kerry as everyone assuming kerry will post a cricket score here. Its something GAA needs to look at through as current format will have teams with nothing to play for in final matches. Also Kerry now have a great chance to post huge points difference against a side already out who when we played them they were still in contention hardly level playing field.

Would expect us to win this one. Kildare without Flynn will struggle for scores and should have plenty to beat them.

The result in Salthill is out of our hands. A draw there wouldn't surprise me which would dump us out. We could have little complaint in all fairness.

I can't see Kildare fans coming down with big numbers considering it's the long weekend and their U20s in a final in crokepark the following day, also if they're missing Daniel Flynn it's a hard ask for them so il go for Kerry to win by 10 points.

True but it'll be the point lost last Sunday that knocks them out, if that's how things turn out, not the result in Killarney. If they go and beat Galway it won't matter what happens in Killarney anyway so it's all in Monaghan's hands still.

True and as I said we are so poor at the minute even if Galway do beat ye there's no guarantee we will beat Kildare by the magic 5 needed!

Well sure if your lads are all that good then it won't matter a jot what we do or don't do in Kerry on the last day. Go and beat Galway and take matters into your own hands. There's damn all between a good few counties as the super 8s have shown so you can drop the superiority complex and the rather silly responses.

Kerry will win this match comfortably and then they are depending on Galway to help them out and save their Championship year!!
