7pm on a Saturday when travelling to Tralee, Castlebar etc for away days in the league waynoI (Dublin) - Posts: 13650 - 04/07/2018 14:17:45 2118480 Link 1 |
Best (home) and worst (away) weekend time would be the same for me - Friday evening at 19:30/20:00. Best because what better way to kick off the weekend than finishing your work, having dinner and getting to watch a bit of GAA. Worst because a lot of our away games tend to be in Belfast or beyond so the chances of making them after work, dinner and an hour+ drive is not really practical. For avoidance of doubt I am referring to Club games. Our County season is never long enough to pick a favourite time for home and away games.... :-) Offside_Rule (Antrim) - Posts: 4058 - 04/07/2018 14:45:14 2118499 Link 0 |
This time of year it has to be 8pm. Unless there is a long journey home ( say 2 hrs or more) and it is at the week end when favourite time becomes 7pm. Ashrules (Dublin) - Posts: 518 - 04/07/2018 14:54:01 2118503 Link 0 |

It really depends on how far you have to travel. I like then idea of Saturday evening games, better atmosphere and all that but not if you have too far to travel home afterwards. For a Sunday game I prefer the 2pm kick off. Green_Gold (Donegal) - Posts: 1876 - 05/07/2018 12:06:36 2118793 Link 0 |

i have to say the two home games we've had in the pairc this year at 7pm on saturday vs limerick and kerry were great nights, atmosphere in the stadium was electric and then being able to sample the post match atmosphere in city centre afterwards were two great nights and hopefully in future their will be many more, so for a home game 7pm on a saturday suits me perfectly and is great pidge (Cork) - Posts: 543 - 05/07/2018 21:16:58 2118940 Link 0 |
