We 'll see you there supporting your fellow Leinster team

Twitter. The bullsh*t bible.

I'll be supporting them surely, nothing against Monaghan but I'd like to see Laois and Offaly both making progress

How on earth is Portlaoise a fair venue for Armagh fans?? Twice the distance compared to Roscommon.

Brefinni park was the neutral venue chosen for tipp against Derry two years ago, now that was a disgrace. Armagh to portlaoise really isn't that bad of a trip, motorway more or less the whole way...sounds worse than it is

Very unfair on Laois/Monaghan that they have a day less turnaround than everyone else in the Super 8s

Stinks to put that game on the Sunday - Why not play it earlier on the Saturday in Navan??

Parts of North tipp a good 30km closer to Breffni than parts of North Derry. Bit of a jaunt from South Tipp but the northern part of the county is a similar distance.

In fairness my own part of North roscommon armagh city is 14 km nearer then portloise is. This would differ comparing what parts of counties you live in but having it in portloise especially on the middle of a Saturday seems daft scheduling. The gaa always seems to want to bring games to portloise for some reason. Mullingar on Sunday would have been far better idea as a standalone game.

Its a shame that the Armagh v Roscommon game isn't on live TV, thought that would be the best of the qualifier matches. At least we can get to see the Cork v Tyrone and Kildare v Fermanagh matches on SKY. Always think its a shame that TV3 or TG4 can't pick up these games that SKY or RTE don't want to show.

It is going to be an interesting weekend ahead and you can already see that the qualifiers have taken on an extra dimension this year because of the reward of getting to the Super 8s. Hopefully we get a great Super 8 competition as football could do with some positive publicity for a change.

I would imagine the current capacity of Navan, which is around 13'600, might have ruled out a double header hence one day after the other

Unfortunately the tv comeanies are only interested in the big names not the potential quality of the games.

Roscommon vs Armagh is live on RTE news now on saturday

Saw Tyrone on Saturday. No great shakes. An odd sparkle when Tyrone broke in an otherwise very boring affair. I had more fun chasing the ice cream man around the stands. Unless they improve I wouldn't go back to see them again. Brewster was closer to Bundoran than Carrick on Shannon and I needed a GAA fix.

Most of north tipp dont know tipp have a football team!! south is the main football area. I dont know the make up of derry if its fairly evenly spread or sections would be classed as football sections. Also that year derry had played in breffinni the week before and won there. Alls well that ends well at the time though i couldnt understand the reasoning behind the choice of venue. Just making the point they do throw up odd venues at times.

How did the GAA authorise that? Anyways should be a good game. I expect Roscommon to progress, but not by much.
