Wicklow minors have just beaten us in Parnell Park 2-6 to 0-8.

Some win in Parnell and a big surpise.

We also lost to Meath!

That is a good Wicklow minor team. Hopefully we can now go on and beat Meath to qualify from the group. With our Minors beating Dublin and Rathnew toppling St Vincents surely it's high time to double Dublin's coaching funding to €20 million, halve Wicklow's to circa €200,000 or less and split the county in two while you're at it!

Perhaps home advantage is not so important after-all - the cars parked around Parnell park have boots too!

Stop lying that's not possible sure we have too much money and everyone plays Gaelic in Dublin how can we ever lose a game?

A genuine well done to Wicklow. A great result for those unheralded heroes toiling away at the coal-face

Fair play to Wicklow. Hope they go on and do well now in competition.
John Evans on the other hand seems to be coming under pressure though with a lot not happy with set up the last day.

A victory of real substance for Wicklow, how fantastic it would be to see them qualify for the semi finals, a real boost to the county it would be and give hope for the future, fair play to them and I expect they will come out all guns blazing against Meath next week.

It is indeed a true sign of what can be achieved when players have time to commit.

Minors have the leaving cert to factor in but after that, they're basically free to give their all to playing football.

If all counties could financially support their senior teams' time off work, nutrition, travel and relocation and get them out of the occasional run in with the law then there might be more competitive contests at that level too.

How come all minor teams aren't equal so?

Wicklow have just beaten Meath and since Meath beat us....Dublin are out.....No Semi-final for us.

They have Kildare in the Semi.

Hope they win it out now.

Meath made 12 changes.

Can't say it was the most sporting move but such is life. Meath had already qualified top of the group and so they could afford to run the squad.

No issue with it, it was up to us to beat Meath, not for Meath to help us out
