Martin Carney "Cork should play a sweeper". Cork play a sweeper and they are the anti Christ of GAA according to Brolly. the eulogies over this kerry team who are still very young and clearly haven't been tested as of yet this year are a bit premature if you're basing it on this showing tonight. Easy to look sensational when you're been given the room to play that they won't get against mayo dublin or galway later on in the year and look, maybe they will win the all ireland, they're certainly a contender but then, they always are. The media now will be wetting themselves but they won't take into consideration the absolutely embarrassing performance from Cork which was beyond abysmal and absolutely shameful. The first 9 minutes actually showed that kerry are still very vulnerable at the back. Run at them at pace and they can be got at but that'll be forgotten about because cork only scored 3 scores in an hour of football. This isn't a wicklow or a leitrim that's endured this pasting, this is a division two team that only 8 years ago was winning all irelands playing their first game in the new pairc and that's what they produced.. Kerry didny even have to get out of first gear. Awful stuff. They beat cork by 17 in the seniors. They played Waterford in the u20s and Waterford only scored 1 point in the game they beat Clare in the minor game by 20 points today too. Yet it's leinster that people continue to talk about. another easy route to the business end for kerry, not their fault, same way it's not dublins let's make that crystal clear, but these provincial games do no one any favours.
