Galway should be too strong for Sligo but they won't hammer them.

Sligo are one of these teams that don't have a huge amount of depth in their panel but when they get their best 15 on the pitch they have some tidy footballers and can cause a few shocks. That is probably why the league and the volume of games does not suit them. But we know to our cost what Sligo can do, they took out a highly fancied Rossies side a couple of years back, I think Tyrone were victims in the past and Kerry scrapped past them.

Saying all that, if Galway are what we hope/think we are we need to be dealing with teams like Sligo in a business like manner. And I believe we will because this year we seem to be bringing intensity to every game. Last year and for a long time it was only Mayo we seemed to get the intensity levels up for.

If they let yer forwards off the leash ye'll win by 5 or 6 points. If ye don't anything could happen. Damien Comer should only be playing in the attacking half of the field.

In all honestly Galway were poor enough v Mayo, very poor shooting by Mayo, slowing down the attacks, taking too much out of the ball all allowed Galway to defend on mass and snuff out any Mayo attack, on paper Sligo haven't a chance but on any given day any team can win, division 1 team Kildare weren't suppose to lose to division 3 team Carlow but they did, I expect a Galway win by 2 or 3 points but Sligo will make them work for it, wouldn't surprise me if Sligo win

Should be a closeish game
The feel good factor croed in Galway may get a bit of a fright but they should win by between 3 and 6points

Galway need to be more positive tomorrow, Sligo could shade it, 50/50 game.

Will take that. Obviously we are moving in the right direction and the early season talk about us probably has plateaued. Whatever people say about our 'system' the reality is most teams play it anyhow and KW is making us into a better overall unit. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a bit rose tinted. The key is to transition effectively from defence to attack and with our speedsters like Brannigan closer now to full fitness than prior to the Mayo game we have a decent chance of making good progress this year.

Wow that's a very impressive offensive score line by Galway.

Happy to see that outcome, It shows that if Galway have a more of an attacking mind and play the right players that they are for definite contenders.

True, wasn't expecting that score line though with how Galway have been setting up, will have a look at it tonight and see how the approached this. The Galway lads at the game I'm sure will fill us in?
