Replying To Mike_Clitoris69:  "And to think that people were talking about Monaghan as the main challenger's to Dublin this year and potential all Ireland winners . I didn't see that result coming and backed Monaghan -3 but I'm happy enough to lose this one. Tyrone still the top ulster team and will show this as the year moves onto the business end of things. Monaghan bottle it again."
Fair play Fermanagh , It's easy to see that Cavan people have plenty of time to write on this forum as they don't have much to do on sundays , Monaghan More than capable of bouncing back from this and still a better team than Tyrone , As proved twice this year .

Meanwhile both Clare and Sligo trail by 12 points each at half time in Killarney and Tuam."
Cork v Limerick was gripping last night! Today was not gripping, it was woeful and the only thing I wanted to see was no more scores from Monaghan as that would have meant another 20 minutes of sh173 and the Munster Hurling match between Waterford and Tipp would have been deferred.

Well done Fermanagh. They did well but to be honest Monaghan looked very poorly motivated for this game. The hype after the Tyrone win clearly had an impact on them.
Delighted for the Fermanagh lads. These boys put in every bit as much as the top teams and will thoroughly enjoy their Ulster Final.
In my opinion Monaghan will struggle to turn this around but have the quality to still make the super 8

No more than Carlow and Longford winning last weekend they seem happier to push the 'bigger team loses' bad news agenda than celebrate great wins by Fermanagh, Carlow and Longford. I'll cynically say that RTE are working to the GAA agenda of publicising potential Super 8 counties and downplaying any achievements by non-Super 8 so-called weaker counties.

Gotmilk. Huge congrats to you and Fermanagh. We have had our slagging matches on here. But I secretly like you. (Oh no I said it ) :). Anyway I am truly delighted for you and Fermanagh. Now go on and do it. Win ulster. Come on Fermanagh.

This season and some of the unexpected results are really undermining the two tier championship campaign.

No one said it was a gripping match but the finish was exciting with the underdogs upsetting the hot favourites to win Ulster. You are comparing two different codes, not the same atall.

Gosh Ulster football is far behind the rest of the provinces. But well done to the gallant efforts of a wee county like Fermanagh! Shame on Monaghan, Tyrone, Armagh in particular!!

Tyrone will be out by 7pm Saturday eve. Not very long summer.

Everything that's wrong with GAA football. Massed defences, endless hand-passing around the 45. It's even worse at club level. Rule change needed to de-incentivise the blanket defence

Brilliant win for Fermanagh. Gallagher is showing himself to be an astute manager. All the pundits expected Monaghan to win and the commentaries in general were very disrespectful to the efforts of the Fermanagh team. The concentration levels and discipline demonstrated by the Fermanagh players for 70+ minutes deserves tremendous credit. Monaghan knew how the opposition were going to set-up but, hard though they tried, they couldn't come up with a winning formula. I think Monaghan will still make the so-called super eight. In the meantime teams like Fermanagh, Carlow and Longford should be shown more respect. The Antrim poster who moaned about watching this 'shite' in Healy Park should endeavour to find the on-off button on the tv set.

Firstly congrats to Rory and Fermanagh, they executed their game plan to perfection and really should have had the game sewn up by half time. I am not totally surprised by this result as I knew Rory would get everybody behind the ball and make the game a dogfight and try to frustrate Monaghan. This is the same tactics he used with Donegal, play with one forward and get everybody else behind the ball, try to build up a first half lead and try to hold out in the second half. Disappointly for Monaghan they would have been fully aware what they would be facing. Not sure where Monaghan go from here, still a good team on their day but could be vulnerable in the qualifiers.

congrats to fermanagh hungrier and more focused on the day as for our lads its back to the qualifiers but realistically an ulster was our main aim wont get much out of qualifiers

Wasnt any worse than Mayo v Galway.
In fairness Ulster have landed 5 titles since Sam last crossed the Shannon in 2001

Think he was waiting on the hurling match to start but could have watched 'Songs of Praise' (BBC1) in the meantime. Love how some comment as if they are forced to watch ... same goes for RTE panel, why not leave Ulster to BBC who were also showing today's match.
