What a save from Hogan but the shooting is atrocious.

Delighted he's not sent off and to watch the genius John McGrath but what was he booked for? Is striking with the butt of the hurl not an automatic red card? He was booked so nothing can come of it just asking the question

2 minutes of injury time and there was at least 4 minutes of stoppages.

Limerick should be beating these guys out the gate and back to Tipperary. That they are down a point is sad. Hickey at full back has been terrible for Limerick and the shooting is woeful. Tipperary are just awful..absolutely awful. A poor game so far. Ref is very much off the pace of the game aswell. He's so reactionary and doesn't let it flow. I'm not saying he is biased but his style of officiating is hard to warm to.

Fair enough improvement in second half of first half and more like what you'd expect in Munster.
Doesn't seem like championship stuff somehow though.

Dublins shooting was reason they lost last week but this is even worse.

They have a tricky assignment next weekend. Cork on a high in Thurles. I can't see Tipp getting it all turned around in a week. Not with the fullback line in complete disarray. Michael Ryans mullet and media ban sounds like he's going back to the early 80s and taking Tipperary with him.

I had backed Tipp to be a real force this year but as time goes on it only looks like they're getting worse. A shadow of the team that smashed KK in 2016.

Definite echoes of the first half of last summer from Tipp. And Ryan's refusal to engage with the media looks like a classic overreaction to all the social media discussions that plagued them last year. Another implosion on the way? Time will tell.

Meanwhile, cracking result for the treaty men, whatever the quality of the game. As any Galway man will tell you after the game in Castlebar, when you're playing your arch rival, it's the result that counts, not how you got there.

What is going on with Tipp that was shocking, Galway will walk it this year if that's all that Tipp can show. Need to get their best team on the field ASAP

Things only fell apart for tipp when they brought on the lads that many reckoned they should have started.
The experimental starting 15 were ahead of Limerick for the first 60 mins, the "great bench" let them down

Michael Ryan would be the main problem. Far far too nice. Poor manager. .Great players but when the tough gets going Tipp hide, one all Ireland every decade is awful. Same this year.

Kilkenny are clearly the form team, so I can't see Galway walking anything. We've everything to prove again this year, starting next weekend.
Tipp do seem to be a mess at the moment. There was a real lack of intensity in their performance yesterday, and they were lucky not to be beaten by more.

Limerick need to find a full-back. But for Hickey, Limerick would have won by 10 and been out of sight with 15 to go. There are certainly better options available to Limerick in Casey or even McCarthy who'd have done more. Other than that Limerick are really building something good. I especially liked the capability of Mulcahy and Gillane to win ball inside.

Tipperary are in big trouble. They don't have a full back line. They don't have a midfield. Despite Michael Ryan's best efforts, very few of the new players brought in over the last two seasons have measured up to the standard of the established guys. I really like Hogan in goal. Heffernan at wing back is solid, Forde has cememted a place at full-forward. Donagh Maher has been good but was poor yesterday. Other than that I don't feel that McCarthy, Connors, Mooney, Flynn, Hamill, Russell, O'Brien, Feehan, Darcy, Shanahan have come in to any effect. McCarthy did win some ball yesterday in fairness to him.

Tipp's best team is probably:
Hogan,
Barrett, P Maher, Cahill
Heffernan, R Maher, Kennedy
B Maher, M Breen
Bonnar, N McGrath, Bubbles
J McGrath, Forde, Callinan

If they can get that team on the field, with no more than two missing (to be replaced by Dan McCormack or Donagh Maher) they could win the All-Ireland.

If they can't get that team on the field and have more than two or three missing, they're in big trouble and won't win Munster or the All-Ireland.

And if they can't win either, Mick Ryan will be out of a job.

everyone hold yer horses, this championship is a new format so teams are trying to figure out how to peak without peaking two soon. Galway were poor in the league and in first championship match conceded 2 goals so Galway will have to tighten up at the back if they are going to retain Liam. this weekend Galway v Kilkenny will be interesting, Galway need to score goals and not concede any.

Good points made there and a fair effort at a team too. Ryan missed a great chance of playing Breen at Full abck during the league. I'd love to see him playing there but maybe that ship has sailed for this year. I'd have McCormack midfield also.
I was baffled the approach that was taken in the league with chopping and changing and moving players to different positions. Breen corner forward, Barrett midfield, Willie connors being brought onto the panel and atraight into the team and then move to midfield yesterday.
Ryan has a lot to answer for and has a huge task now to finish in the top 3 in Munster. Looks very unlikely at this stage,
