Replying To LeftHalfBack10:  "Wicklow manager John Evans saying they will not change their style of play against Dublin. I think the Dubs will beat them by 30 points if they want to."
They havent tended to do that tho in the last two seasons...

Yeah, I expect Dublin will "sleep" their way through this game. Margin of victory hard to gauge but if Wicklow give it all they've got they'll probably keep it under the 22 point handicap

That's the soccer sorted.

Bring on the hurling.

Tipp -5 could be your undoing

I'm more worried about Kilkenny. Part of me fears Galway will go to town on them.

That seems to be the prevailing opinion alright but I'm mystified why we are considered to be such "shoe-ins" for this. It's all based on the presumption we'll be red hot today and that KK will be most un-KK like and be very ordinary. There were enough chinks in our performance against Offaly to suggest we won't be at our peak today. Even if KK are not the formidable force of old yet their pride will push them on. Think you're safe enough on that part of the bet but we'll soon see!

Jesus Kildare and Meath are some joke. They are expected to start competing with Dublin but smaller counties like Carlow and Longford seem to be more able to get the best out of their players and from their pick of players jus what the hell is going on these two counties with massive populations in comparison to other counties in the country.

Replying To Soma:  "Very unlucky with that bet. The amount of times bookies get the handicap spot on is incredible, think someone here had Offaly +12 last week and they lost by 12."
Ha I was just thinking of your post as our game against Derry petered into injury time at the weekend. The handicap was 6 points and we were 7 up. Donegal had complete control and were just passing it about for passing's sake and I was thinking whoever had the handicap bet would be happy to see it. Then, inexplicably we gave Derry the ball back and conceded a stupid free 21 yards out which Mark Lynch put over at his ease. So the bookies were covered yet again!!

Lots of heavy favourites this weekend so hard to find decent value.

Ill go with Clare+9 (8/11), Tipp -6 (10/11) and Cork 4/5 in a treble.
