Replying To Bon:  "Naas should well be established as a force already with the amount of talent at their disposal. They let themselves down badly the last two years in the county final. They have some of the most skilfull hurlers I've ever seen in kildare but they just don't have the steel that the great Naas teams of 20 years ago had."
After reading Joe Quaid there on the Kildare website I think we should lump on!!! He seems quite bullish!!!!

Actually I think London are worthy favourites for the Christy Ring Cup. They're coming into this off the back of a poor league campaign where they just about survived relegation in Division 2A. London were outclassed by Kerry, Carlow and Meath before running Westmeath close enough and then beating Kildare by seven points to stay up. All these games were played at home in Ruislip. It's worth mentioning though that London only started back training in January, months after most teams. And every year they get new players who need time to get used to playing with each other. So I think London are better than their results against Kerry, Carlow and Meath would suggest. They have the beating of Kildare while the rest of the teams in the championship were operating at a lower level in the league.

In fairnsss to London, they would never beat Kerry and Carlow as they would be a good bit ahead of them and Meath have upped it in the last few years too. Sure Kerry bet Kildare by 30pts in the Christy Ring semi final 3 years ago.
Kildare and London could well meet in the Christy Ring.
I couldn't call it, be a fairly evenly matched game.

Anyone could win it. Getting off the mark with a win in round 1 is huge. Most of the Slaughteil players are playing for Derry today. They will be hard beat at home.

Hammered out lads today but we are in a very bad place now with a lot of our best players either injured or won't commit to cause.

Derry Wicklow London Kildare should be in the semis

London are favourites but Derry could improve and run them close.

Replying To carlovia:  "Never seen a team regress so much in a year as Kildare.

Last year they drew with Carlow in Newbridge and this year we
led them 2-9 to 0-3 at Ht before winning comfortably

They have lost the 2 Reidys back to Limerick and Mullhall from Kilkenny gone
but they looked disinterested against us.

Cant see them beating London or even Wicklow (with their Wexford import)"
Was Walshe spelt with an E or not.

I can never remember.

I'm going to let that one slide sponger.

Carlow are now too good a team to be bitter.

Winners of Christy Ring playoff against the fifth (5th) team in the Joe McDonagh Cup, winners play Joe McD in 2019 losers together with the sixth (6th) placed team in Joe McD play in the Christy Ring Cup in 2019. So it will not be easy for the Ring winners to advance.

And to yours sponger.

Saw Wicklow in the O'Byrne cup and thought they were awful but 6 weeks later
in the league they looked very organised.

Evans is a good manager,
