Who Goes Down - Donegal Or Mayo?

Keith Higgins is back according to David Brady. He'll help to improve a shaky defence and his experience will give us a big boost. I think we'll scrape the draw we need.

Donegal by 4 at least, feels like a Championship game, great preparation for Cavan too.

Hopeful that Donegal can field their best 15 & that the Ballybofey record can stand but I'm fearful of a backlash after Matos dreadful performance last Sunday.
Mayo are a seasoned outfit & have lots of experience to draw on. The are also physically much bigger & stronger than a young Donegal team trying to learn a new style.
Mayo by 4.

Madness really, bring in a guy who hasnt been part of the panel so far this year a 33 yr old , granted a good player but it doesnt say much for the subs there since the start esp the younger lads..

True although we need experience today. No matter how good or bad they are they won't improve unless they get tested in big games like this. Apparently Keith wasn't named in the squad but sure that doesn't seem to count these days.

Very entertaining game and some great scoring going on, particularly from Donegal.

You mean, 'only from Donegal'. Ref keeping Mayo in it with dodgy frees and ignoring fouls from Mayo.

Good open game of football so far could get very tight towards the end Donegal taking their chances better than Mayo

Mayo celebrating like they won the All Ireland, embarrasing really... they drew in Donegal and stave off relegation for another 12 months..

Worst team of the two staying up. Some inexplicable frees awarded to Mayo.

He is but he cost us in the end with that ball into the keepers hands. The game was won there.

Bitterly disappointing day. Felt we had the better of Mayo but some very poor shooting and non-existent tackling cost us again. Lots to sort out before Cavan.

Some kick from McLoughlin at the end, still wouldn't write off Mayo come championship

We wouldn't have been in that position in the first place without him, think he's taking a lot of unfair criticism. That second half performance from Donegal was beyond atrocious, they deserve to go down.

Donegal trying to hold on taking a lot out of the game get hit with a sucker punch. Great point by Mcgloughlin.
I can't understand how the ref didn't play the 30 seconds after the last kick out, but given that he was allowing time wasting before this I guess it's double negative consistency.

Some inexplicable free's to Mayo. Donegal got some as well. What about the 1s he didn't give. Defenders punching an attacker 4-5 times in the shoulder and chest never once hitting the ball and the ref gives a free out. Some very funny calls both ways today none more so than the final whistle. It was in my opinion blew 30 seconds to a minute early. So don't be bashing Mayo. What McBrearty was thinking taking that last shot will haunt him for a year

McLaughlin is so underrated for Mayo. A real workhorse.

Mayo by the skin of their teeth, tough on Donegal who I thought improved this year.
