Didn't hear if Lee played for Trillick against KC. I don't think he did, weeks flying in, bad time to get an injury.
Colm Cav is in a race against time, he is the one player we can't lose.

That's good to hear about Lee also with Tiernan McCann back all we need is Colm to have a full deck.+

Not long now to the Monaghan game.
What do you think the team will be? Score predictions?

Hi folks, just got my tickets for Tyr V Mon today... Here's to an Ulster classic, that makes RTE look like idiots for missing!..
Anyway, with 4pm throw-in, we intend arriving in Omagh 1.30- 2pm ish ( travelling from Galway) If we have our lunch in the Silver Birch, will the allow us park there during game?.. Is parking free in Omagh on Sundays?

Park on the Healy Park side of the Silver Birches on the roadside which is free parking, You will get away much quicker after the game as well providing your car is pointing the right direction. Should be a cracker of a game.

Both teams could be happy with their league form but I'm going on Tyrone's form in the Ulster Championship over the last two years. Tyrone to win by four points.

1. Niall Morgan
2. Hugh Pat McGeary
3.Padraig Hampsey
4.Cathal McCarron
5.Tiernan McCann
6.Frank Burns
7.Ronan McNamee
8. Colm Cavanagh
9. Declan McClure
10. Peter Harte
11. Niall Sludden
12. Mattie Donnelly (Capt)
13. Lee Brennan
14. Cathal McShane
15. Conor McAliskey

That's the Tyrone Team I would go for, Ronan McNamee at half back as the wild card pick he's big strong and fast.
We have plenty of options of the bench. Tyrone to win by 5 points.

Yeah I would pretty much go for that as well. Maybe Michael McKernan for McGeary, toss up between. McNamee could go full back with Hampsey half back.
Problem is if Colm Cav doesn't play, who replaces him?
I feel it's a big year for Declan McClure. I feel he has all the attributes to nail down a place at midfield but is a bit inconsistent in his play.

Young McKernan looked a good footballer in the league, but I would stick with Hugh Pat as I think he has a bit more physicality about him. As for Ronan McNamee he has'nt looked great at full back I would'nt mind seeing him have a go at half back, as he has speed for a big unit. Colm would be a miss, maybe big Paddy with McClure. Cathal McShane will be dropping into midfield as well, played great there against Kerry in the league.

Mc cann will not be at full fitness and if colm cavanagh starts he will not be ready for a full 70 either. With this in mind I think mc manus will bring panic to the defence as he did in the league when he came on and Monaghan will win by 3.

Mono07 if you think how the league game went on a freezing night in castleblaney, will have any baring on a Ulster Championship meeting you are in for a big surprise.

that team would have at least 5-6 points to spare over Monaghan.

Maybe you are looking at it that way because we won. Where you at the game.

Mon07 yea I was at the game, on a freezing night in Castleblaney, which is a great ground. It was a game where you could see Tyrone where still developing a new style of play, a strange game where Monaghan to me where on top in the first half but Tyrone where leading by a point at half time. The second half was a more even match which Monaghan came out on top by 1 point. McManus and Beggan hitting some incredible frees. I would be hoping the temperature will be much warmer for this encounter, I would imagine both teams will be playing at a much higher tempo. It will come down to which team will be able to up the gears more, I believe Tyrone will be the team able to do this better. I am looking at it this way because I am a Tyrone supporter and also how Tyrone have got their new style of play to work through the league more smoothly. Tir'Eoghan Abu.

I would say our game has developed a bit more than Tyrone. If you take the game in croke park. We only won by a point but it looked way easier than the result shows. You can say it was half a Dublin team but it was similar to the same half a team that beat Tyrone. If you're two best players are playing and only partly fit our forward line could have a field day. Which I think they will. Monaghan by 4.

IrishGael3 I'm not sure what fact you are referring to??

However, I agree with your comment below about the Tyrone manager...it's time for a change as the 'best by date' must be long out of date!

Well done to Monaghan - thought the Tyrone injuries would represent a great chance for maonghan to get one over the red hands. However I do think Mickey Harte is a total liability to the red hands now. He has no Plan B - considering the hammering he took from dubs last year you'd think they'd work on that. Also playing 3 players who were still clearly not match ready shows his decision making it totally flawed. I know some red Hand fans will not like what I'm saying but the truth hurts - if you want to progress you need to get rid - he takes on Oneill in second half and takes him off again - what's that about?
