Big game in Castlebar this weekend. How are Ye feeling ahead of the trip west? A win for either side should see safe passage for another year.

Safe traveling to all Tyrone fans this weekend and welcome to Mayo.

I find it hard to believe that the resignation of Darren McCurry has yet to be addressed in this forum at all. Darren is a quality player and with him playing for Edendork week in week out they won't be fighting for survival this year easy 4/5 points a game for them. I agree that players play off confidence especially forwards! This lad is just as good if not better than his competition for a place in the team and now we've lost him due to "work commitments"

I have been Pro Mickey Harte for a long time and I don't want to see him turn in the Arsene Wenger of the GAA (If he hasnt already). This system needs to go! Some teams it works well against. Against Kerry/Mayo/Dublin its simply not going to cut it. Even after that we need a plan B! We no longer have the presence of Sean to boot the ball long and will be tough boots to fill.

Someone mentioned Colm is the best at what he does and then says we don't need a sweeper! which one is it? Colm is the only player that would get near the current Dublin team.

i think its got to the stage now where there is that much apathy towards the county team in tyrone that the resignation of mc curry is almost expected and people have stopped caring. so much talent going to waste in tyrone.

Well fellas 10 years ago a Tyrone v Kerry game would have been the tie of the round but unfortunately both our team have fallen from grace but thankfully both are now safe so next Sunday's game will be little more than a challenge match with a bit of shadow boxing Incase we might meet later in the championship.

What's yer thoughts on it?

Yeah looking forward to it after today. Should be a good high scoring game without the bite off relegation hanging over both teams.
You heading up?

Great to see Peter Donnelly barking out the orders and directing operations today standing well away from the 'management team' It gives me hope along with Brennan's outrageous dummies that are starting to leave Mugsy in the shade

Ya il head up I might stay in Dundalk Saturday night and cut across to omagh then in the morning, I take it the game is at two o'clock so il have loads of time.

Ya I'm delighted that we're not going up looking for the 2 points because you couldn't trust our team at the moment as they're capable of doing anything at this stage.

I watched the highlights of ye'r game with Mayo last night and ye'r flying altogether and playing some lovely attacking football and we still haven't managed to develop a proper defensive strategy so it should be s good open game with lots of scoring hopefully.

Matty Donnelly is some player and young lee Brennan looks a serious corner forward.

Good plan. Haven't been to Kerry in ages, hopefully next year.
Brennan playing well, so is Donnelly and Petey Harte starting to move though the gears.
Kerry's youngsters have done well. O'Shea at CHF looks good with Clifford. Burns looks like a decent player as well. Keeper looks good as well. I suppose it's the defence that has the problems, leaking a lot of goals.

Ya we're leaking a pile of goals this year 9 so far which is the most in any of the divisions as far as I'm aware but we're scoring well at the same time (mind you not goals) we didn't even have 1 goal chance against Kildare the other night.

I didn't even mention Peter Harte he's just one of those players that you take for granted is going to play brilliant in every game and he comes across as a pure gent as well.

And ya you'll have to give a shout down to the kingdom now next year hopefully we'll have a milder spring as the cold this year has been a pure pain in the hole.

Darren is a nice footballer in nice matches but unfortunately when it gets to the down and dirty he will disappear - he's had his chance now time for the young lads like Brennan et al to get his chance.

You're right the clocks are going forward Saturday night so that means a later throw in on Sunday. Thanks for that info.

Yeah i agree, I dont think he was ever a match winner. When things are going good he was a great man but never stood up to the plate when needed.

It does however leave Tyrone a little short in that position, any other good young lads that could come in to the panel?

I have been very critical of our management team over the past couple of years, especially their resistance to adopting a more attacking game plan, but I will admit that the display against Mayo was very positive indeed.

In saying that, I have seen far too many false dawns over the past number of years to get too excited and I wont be getting caught up in the hysteria.

I hope this is a new start with a new approach but I won't hold my breath.

A bit like last year the league has been good and bad. Hopefully Lee Brennan can continue his good progress. Three in a row in Ulster looks achievable but Dublin look a cut above the rest.

Where do I start with this Wally?

I know you don't go to Tyrone games, you have stated this in the past, well apart from the semi finals, but Tyrone played 14 men behind the ball against Mayo and played their usual counter attacking style, with a few small tweaks. The same as last year. So you were negative about their style of play "for years" (even though that has been proved factual incorrect many many times), but now you are positive all of a sudden.
And let's be clear, that was a shell of a Mayo team, I believe someone said 7 starters with Cillian O'Connor and Lee Keegan going off early and Boyle getting red carded.
Tyrone played well and got a great result to keep them up but they certainly haven't ripped up their playbook and started again. This was by in large the same style of football Tyrone have played for years.

I know you are positive now but if they play the exact same way against Monaghan in the championship as they did at the weekend and get beat I'm sure it will be MH fault etc. Wally stop flip flopping. It's becoming painful to have to keep replying to you.

Congratulations on the win today lads, I didn't make it as the young lad had an important challenge match this afternoon .

I listened to the game on the radio and ye'r running game killed us .

Anyway we're both safe and time to look forward to the championship although I'd say it'l be a short one for our boys, anyway best of luck to ye in Ulster and beyond.

It did feel like a game where neither team had anything to play for. Good to get the win but wouldn't read to much into it.
I see the Kerry team stayed in the Lough Erne resort the night before. That would of cost a few euro!!!!!!
