Con O'Callaghan what a year he had and he continues to shine for Cuala today
Much deserved YPOTY and easily could have been POTY in his debut season
Some talent and at only 21 what a future this kid has.

Was a million miles away from POTY but everything else you say is true - an outstanding season, a massive talent who is fulfilling his enormous potential. Has a great future for bith club and county in whichever code he pursues.

He's Cuala's best player by a mile , every time he gets the ball he causes havoc , cillian Buckley Kilkenny's best defender and athlete took a roasting off him yesterday ,he was chasing him in a foot race yesterday and Con had the ball and Buckley was going backwards, scary to think how good this kid is going to be.

It is and will be a shame if we dont get to see this lad playing for the Dublin Senior hurlers. I guess the current football team would have to wane for that to happen. Could be waiting a while so...

I love his attitude "saw an opportunity on Senior panel and just went for it!", very understated young man.

I suppose the with the new formats in hurling and football now that we won't ever again see a dual star the likes of a teddy McCarthy again.

Well said BB2011

Been banging on about this kid for couple of years

Best dual player in the country IMO

Meaning he's about the most complete GAA player in the country at present

Just pure talent

Top end all round GAA player and still so much to build and improve on

Just as BB is getting on a wee bit along comes wonder boy

Up The Dubs 2018 and the quest for 4..

I think Daithi Burke would give him a run for his money, County Champion six times (football) All Ireland feile winner (football), Minor winner (hurling), U21 winner (football), two Connacht Club (football) All Ireland Club winner (football), Senior All Ireland winner (Hurling), three all stars (hurling),

Jays now that's an impressive CV if I ever saw one.

Steady on here fellas. Con O'Callaghan is a great young prospect but all the overheated hyperbole in the world is not going to make him the second coming.
He is a young lad enjoying his sport & the last thing he needs is a load of people bogging him before he shows his full potential.
Last Sunday he scored 1-3 out of a total of 2-20 in an excellent Cuala team but to listen to some on here you'd swear he did it on his own.
I look forward to seeing Con mature into a top player in the coming years but this sort of nonsense does both him & his team a disservice.

You're dead right, I hate this sort of thing, all you're doing is setting up the lad for a fall, a little like Clifford from Kerry. Leave them at it.

Cuala are a very good team but if you took any Cuala player out of the team on Sunday they still win the game if you took Con out they don't beat Dicksboro. He's a mile ahead of everyone else on the field last Sunday.

I'm sorry clondalkin I think that is nonsense & an awful put down on the Cuala team.

A fine player no doubt with pace his greatest strength. But you are way out of line in your analysis of the Cuala team.

I said their a great team but O Callaghan is the game changer, if he wasn't playing Sunday they wouldn't of beaten Dicksboro. Tell me a player that's ever done that to Cillian Buckley at any level? I've never seen it.

I'm talking nonsense yet muck thinks Kilcar can win the all Ireland ha, the same Muck who told me to cop on about the 5 in a row.

Of course Kilcar can win the All Ireland, they are only 4 games away just like 15 other teams
They are 6th in the betting at 10/1 & I would pile in if I was you.

He is very good footballer but many here are getting carried away. One of the positive things about how good Con is that Galway have found a full back, because young Sean Andy O' Kelly destroyed him in the U21 final.

He'll probably never play hurling for Dublin seniors for all his talent and promise. Football has always been the richer code in Dublin and has robbed the hurlers of many a fine player.Don't see that changing any tome soon.
