a week after all 3 monaghan mens teams bow out of ulster and all ireland club competitions we have to acknowledge the fantastic achievement of both ladies clubs. Having to travel to england which i cant imagine would be financially easy on both teams so well done and i hope that both clubs can go on now to all ireland success. time to get behind these two teams gaels of monaghan mrsme (USA) - Posts: 172 - 04/11/2017 19:52:22 2060480 Link 2 |

Absolutely, full credit to Latton Ladies who won Junior last year to go on and win intermediate this year! They were in a league of their own in intermediate this year. They're a really strong, young team. Possibly the team of the future. However, unfortunately the same cannot be said for Corduff who were one of the top 3 teams in Intermediate last year. It begs the question how in earth did they get down to junior?? When your county board convincingly denies same, to go on and appeal to Croke Park shows that winning at all costs is their mentality, not developing and fighting for an intermediate title. Which to be honest, they could have put up a brave fight against Latton for. eirekeeper (Monaghan) - Posts: 113 - 05/11/2017 14:06:31 2060577 Link 0 |
What is the story with Monaghan Ladies Manager for 2018? Has Pauline Cunningham stepped down? BlueNose (None) - Posts: 33 - 06/11/2017 13:52:09 2060773 Link 0 |
Did Latton not beat Corduff in Junior Championship last year? I'm 99% sure they did so Corduff were Junior.

Think I read that Corduff hadn't won a Championship game in 6/7 years?

Your right there, however they made it to the semi-final last year only to be beat by eventual winners - Latton. Whats very strange is that Corduff were playing senior league this year, but yet junior championship?

Your argument makes no sense, it just reeks of sour grapes.

Once again have to commend Latton, senior league semi final this sunday against there local rivals Ballybay. But to put the ladies all ireland semi final as a double header is fantastic for this group of girls it might never happen again for them. Id urge supporters of both senior mens teams to get out early and support the ladies in their quest for all ireland glory and every one else in the county to do the same same mention goes to corduff ladies in their quest for junior national success who ever can get to their game do brilliant times for ladies club football in monaghan. i think both ladies games start at 1 pm { i stand corrected on this } but if we can get out and support both teams nothing much else happening looking at fixtures mrsme (USA) - Posts: 172 - 14/11/2017 23:40:51 2062399 Link 0 |
