Finally got the win against the Armagh B team. Hope it gives the players a bit of a lift, it has been a very long Spring.

Can anyone please tell me why Barry O'Connor was playing for the U-20 team in a practise match when the management know full well they won't be even able to have him in their panel for the U-20 championship?
Under the rules any members of the championship panel for the Senior team cannot play with the U-20 side.
Makes absolutely no sense, complete lack of communication.

Will the Laois game be on TV does anyone know, am away that weekend and won't be able to make it unfortunately.

Am hoping for a big performance, although the league results were bad, there were some half decent performances, and Laois are no Dublin, a tough ask but not beyond us. Anyone that likes a bet 3-1 is a massive price, yes Laois are deservedly favourites but it won't be as much as a walk in the park "excuse the pun" as some suggest

Check the date on my post I asked this question after the pointless exercise of playing Barry O'Connor in a practise match in under 20 v Laois

All under 20 players that are with the senior panel and who have played games are regularly included in challenge games with u20s. This is not a big deal just unfortunate OConnor got injured.

Why would they play though, if they are part of the championship panel for senior they are not allowed to play in the under 20 championship.?

From what I've seen so far this year I'd go with something similar but I'd find room for Glen Malone in the team.

Also has lyng actually announced his retirement?

I'd prefer the likes of glen and James stafford coming on this is goin to be a very tight game and fresh legs could be the difference In the end the two lads in particular are good quick ball carriers and can really get at laois when they are tired. I don't think he has officially announced anything as far as I know he hasn't been training so I can't see him being involved at all this year as much as I'd love to see him involved. I wonder have the management paid much attention to the local championship the past few weeks a few lads stood out for their clubs wonder has anyone been called in.?

Who stood out for their clubs that would warrant a call up?

From what I seen over the first 2 rounds
Jamie carthy, ryan murphy(st martins)
Lee devereux(rosslare)
Niall harney, philip murphy(bannow)
Ian carthy (taghmon)
Jason swords, graham carthy (maudlintown)
Conor sinnott(fintans)
That's just to name a few maybe some have been asked and didn't want to its a big commitment in fairness
