Well lads.
What do you think so far? Killyclogher and Dromore both our. Very open, difficult to call who is favourite now.
I see the Ardboe vs Omagh game is fixed for Wednesday night in the Athletic Grounds in Armagh!!!! Then the winners play their quarter final on Sunday at 2.30.
RIP to Charlie O'Donnell from the Omagh club.

I think Errigal are prob favourites at the moment followed closely by Clonoe after their win over Dromore.

What is it with the Armagh venue for the omagh/ardboe game? Seems very strange to take both teams all the way to Armagh on a Wednesday night.

Have we no suitable venues in the whole of Tyrone.

Yeah agree about Errigal, only seen them twice this year but they have impressed me.
Coalisland vs Trillick should be a good game.
Think Clonoe will beat Pomeroy. Ardboe vs Omagh to close to call.
Intermediate I think Moy will win.
Junior Tattyreagh.

Felt Errigal were rather average looking against an Urney team missing their Star man Lafferty on Saturday. Then again this could just be Errigal not wanting to show their full hand.
Clonoe's strength in depth was shown by their impressive substitutes who helped turn the game against Dromore. I feel they'll be heavily favoured now that Killclogher have also exited the Championship.
Coalisland/Trillick will an interesting tie and one I couldn't choose a winner from.
The winner of Wednesday night's tie will have to turn their attentions to a dogged Greencastle side who were impressive against a fancied Donaghmore side on Friday night. As always Tyrone Senior championship continues to be the most competitive in Ulster!

Moy will certainly be a force to reckon with in Intermediate along with Aghyaran.

Junior Championship will be hard to look past Owen Roes, with their hunger to complete a double. Tattyreagh with their string of heartache last year will no doubt be out to rectify the mistakes of the past.

Will be interesting seeing a Tyrone Championship game in Armagh tonight. The only explanation I could see this being played in Armagh is to maintain the pitches during the recent and current weather conditions and to find a pitch with floodlight and that could hold the the crowd would be difficult saying all of the fixed for the weekend in C'ship venues and avoid giving Omagh a home advantage.
I would fancy the winners of Trillick and Coalisland to take the title.

Intermediate - Teamtalk wrote Moy off believe they don't have the heart to win a championship. With Sean stepping down from County he'll want to finish the year in a high. I don't see Cookstown being a problem for them especially if Pickering and Mulgrew are missing with suspension after both seeing red against Moortown.
Derrylaughan were only beat by the Moy in the league this year but finishing the year on top only by score difference Aughyaran. Eglish got the season off to a flyer but then slacked slighly. Honestly on their days any team can win this Championship.

Junior - Hard to look past the dominant Owen Roes though Tatts or the hill could give them a push for their money.

Great game tonite in Armagh. Omagh beat Ardboe by 5.
The pitch in Armagh was in excellent condition even after the rain yesterday.
Great game of football with both teams giving their all. Tight first half, Omagh missed a few goal chances but Ardboe played some great football.
Omagh pulled away in the final quarter.
Conor O'Donnell excellent. 7 points with some great scores from play.
Mulgrew didn't have his best night and got sent off for a head butt on fellow county man Meyler. He's young and will learn from this year.
Omagh no 5 excellent, McLaughlin. Michael O'Neill for Ardboe scored 3 great points. Maybe a county call up for these two for the McKenna cup.
Omagh play Greencastle in 3 days which will be tough.

Need to sort out McGinn though, that was a horrible drop and could have cost them! Would love to have seen what would have happened if Joe got his hands on Coney after the challenge that seen him get the yellow. Would be hell of a battle. I'm not too sure in Omagh Kickouts though, if greencastle where to go man for man on them would McGinn be able to go Long. Yes they have Clark in the middle and Joe at CHB for fielding there were very little Marks at last nights game.

Another Big game in Omagh tonight between Coalisland and Trillick. With Kilyclogher out of the way surely the remaining teams will fancy their chances. Even Pomeroy could cause another massive upset against Clonoe.

Yeah Joe didn't look to happy to say the least. Glad to see there was no fighting. Good hard hitting but generally fair game. Big Clarke played well, seems to be over his horrible injuries.
Tough hard hitting game last night between Coalisland and Trillick. Think draw was fair result in the end. I believe the replay is on Monday night so a short turnaround. Toner played well for Coalisland. Grey for Trillick looks a good prospect. Lee Brennan was well marshalled but showed some nice touches, scored a couple of nice frees.
Think Coalisland will nick the replay.
I believe the Tatts beat Derrytresk, wasn't at it but looks like Tatts won easily enough. Derrylaughan winning at half time 5-2 against Eglish.

So we're down to the last 6 in Senior, 4 in Intermediate and 2 Junior

Many People wrote Pomeroy off on Saturday and after the first 20 mins being 5 points up at one stage they should be disappointed that they let Clonoe back into the game. As the saying goes, has Pomeroy missed the boat. Errigal I think will beat who ever comes out of this tie.
Omagh made a 3 day turnaround from Ardboe to knock out G'Castle and will be great semi who ever wins the Trillick/Island game which I think will go down to the wire tonight again.

Moy made tough work out of Coalisland and the ref must have some report to fill out throwing yellows out like they were going out of fashion surprised only the one seen red. The Cavanagh's were enough to see them over the line. Gortin looked the most sought after team in this years Semi with the top 2 drawing up against each other.
Derrylaughan went all year one defeat to the Moy, and the league game between the top 2 was separated by a point in Derrylaughan's favor. The Final 3 fixtures of this championship will be interesting.

Owen Roes I think will take Junior

On watching the games over the weekend, Coalisland-Trillick can feel grieved at some of the refereeing on display. There was no consistency in any of his decisions. Coalisland missed a huge chance with almost the last kick of the game. Tonight's game will surely be another close contest.
Pomeroy will surely be kicking themselves after playing so well. Feel Clonoe's experience may prove vital in overcoming the Plunketts in the replay.
Omagh were very impressive on Sunday from defensive point of view. The full back line has pace and strength to ensure every ball is 50/50 coming in. Their attacking threat from half back is also impressive, particularly Tierney's direct running for the goal. Meyler came in for torrid attention but shrugged off anything that came his. Conor O'Donnell and Ronan O'Neill continue to cause headaches in the forward line. Omagh wont be far away this year. Greencastle battled well but losing Cahir McCullagh was a major blow to their hopes.
Errigal just had enough to get by a tough Carrickmore side. Conor Mullan had Peter Harte completely nullified for the majority of the game, while Munroe kept Davy Harte quiet. Mark Kavanagh continues to put in strong performances, but yet again Errigal's bench came to it's rescue, particularly Stephen McCrory. Carrickmore just seemed tor in out of steam in the last 10 mins, which was disappointing as they had looked more comfortable team for most of the game.

Another huge win for Gortin in the intermediate and confidence continues to rise in their young side. Coming up against a strong Moy side will be a huge test for the St. Patricks. Hard to see past Moy at the minute. The Top 2 squaring off in the other Semi Final will be interesting, considering there wasn't much between them in the league.

Owen Roes, although hard to like, are playing well but found the going tough against Fintona at times. The sending off just before half time did not help fintona's cause. Tattyreagh will be an intriguing tie in the semi.
Clann na nGael will face off against a Clogher side, who made it past a stubborn Brocagh side.

Things are hotting up in all 3 Championships, but it's just a pity there's no sign of a conclusion to the Division 3 league.

For me i'm loving the use of the Ath Grounds im sure it does however reduce the gates for western interested parties. Although there was a great atmosphere on Thurs Night and seen spectators from the likes off greencastle etc.

I wonder what sort of deal Tyrone and Armagh have going here cause if there were 5,000 people at that game on Thurs majority paying £5 in is about £20,000 (Minus OAP and U16) and a lump of that going to the Armagh contingent I don't see how Tyrone don't have a facilities to hold such a crowd on a weeknight apart from Healy Park. Somethoing needs to change within the club scene and should be funding clubs to develop this.

I Like Garvaghy but there is no way the small standed pitch would be able to hold a Senior championship game.

Great facilities for sure. Bit of a trek though to be honest.
I think 5000 is a bit optimistic regarding the Ardboe vs Omagh the other night. Great atmosphere, most Omagh supporters seemed to gather in the place section of the stand, same as Ardboe. Created plenty of noise. Don't think there was 5000 there though.
It would be interesting to see the split in the taking.

Just in from the trillick vs Coalisland game. Decent match. Thought Trillick deserved it. They out fought Coalisland physically. Turned over a lot of ball. Very impressed by their full back line, especially in the second half. The two corner backs are small but very tenicious.
Mattie Donnelly excellent in second half. Lee Brennan was well marshalled again.
Should be a great game between them and Omagh in the semi.

Another Spectacle in the Athletic grounds last night, Clonoe will feel they left it behind them in the first half. Kicked wide after wide and fair play to Pomeroy for taking their chances when they arose. Coming out of the blocks in the second half and had Clonoe going in at half time 1 point to chasing the game.

Sublime goal from PJ Lavery, if there was a accolade for goal of the season he would have won it for that screamer! Though a free from McClure that was more threatening to the sideline moreso than the end line

Referees will do anything not to show a black card, obviously players like Skeet will get close attention and was nullified by dirty tactics one particularly in the second half in front of the stand and linesman and was told to get up play and play on. But Clonoe had their fair share of pulling off the ball.

I thought Clonoe were slow, physically and mentally. None of the deep penetrating runs from Dwayne Quinn or Coney like they did so well against Dromore. Mentally slow to catch on to the two Pomeroy half backs running amok, time and time again the ran untouched thought the middle, lyed it off the Frank Burns who pointed or the won a free. McNulty was poor in the full forward line. For a big man he was dispossessed countless times.
Not taking anything away from the Pomeroy performance. Excellent display and will not fear Errigal one bit. Strong, fit and quality players who can take a score. Two big games at the weekend. Predictions?
