I don't see it telling us that Duffy alone takes aprox €300,000.00 + car + expenses. On top of that he also has his pension from teaching. Amateur my azxe!!!!!!! That's a massive salary, uncalled for, morally wrong and not known by most people. People thought the IFA were robbing farmers, which they were. What's the GAA doing about it and how many more are screwing at it???? davittsman (Mayo) - Posts: 336 - 05/08/2017 19:14:48 2029389 Link 1 |
Have you any evidence of this? And while €300'000 is high, the man is effectively in charge of an organisation with 90m of income a year (excluding the counties and provinces' own income), over 1'000'000 members, 2600+ clubs. 100's of millions (if not billions) of euro worth of assets. That sort of work is going to be a 6 figure salary at the least. Too many people think the GAA is the same as a local club, just far bigger. In reality at the top level the GAA has to be run at a professional, executive level, or else it would just collapse. I know some people don't like the idea of any sophistication in GAA organisation, but it's needed. CastleBravo (Meath) - Posts: 1644 - 05/08/2017 20:13:14 2029422 Link 1 |
Yes, multiple posts on the issue, so we'll let sleeping dogs lie, however I can't help but think it will raise it's head again along with the Sky gaa deal.
