Replying To Timmy86:  "Seems the weekend semis went as predicted,I think coolera should have got at least a draw?I think they should, but good for Carly winning and playing bad, other semi was poor tourestrane didn't seem to turn up.....and can W.G have any hope of toppling Carly.. ."
I'd fancy Western gaels to put it up to Calry. They look very strong this year and even beat Calry earlier in the championship, albeit with a depleted Calry team. any word on when the final is scheduled for?

I think W.G had a depleted team also that day but I wonder what odds W G are??it's down for the warm up for the football final I believe,I think coolera could have takin Carly so I'm tipping W.G ,is there any where to find odds

Like the idea of both the hurling and football finals being held on the same day in markievicz. Also, good work being done this year for the lead up of both finals on the digital media side of things, some nice videos were made. let's hope there will be a good crowd sunday for the double header and the facebook live stream won't deter too many of the locals from going to the games...my money is on a western gaels upset!!

With the weather we are having I can't see 2 games going ahead in Markievicz Park tomorrow. The pitch is poor enough by County Standards.

Credit where credit is due Fair play to the County Board for their coverage of both Senior finals on Sunday .I got round to watching both games yesterday & I think the coverage was excellent.
Onto the game Both Calry & Western Gaels serve up a treat to us in what was a very enjoyable game of hurling & I really do hope those that were in stand on Sunday that came into to early to catch some of the hurling before they got behind their teams in the Football will come back to see another hurling game . Heard a lot of people saying how much they enjoyed the game just hope now that they may come out again & give the lads support during the national league etc as majority of those guys playing on Sunday will be wearing the county jersey in 2018. Again well done to both teams for showing that hurling is alive in Sligo & with a little bit more support it could trive.

2018 championship kicked off there last weekend. Going to be very interesting with 7 teams entering it this year which is another positive step for Sligo hurling. Good wins for Coolera and Naomh Eoin, hopefully Tubber can be competitive. Interested to see how Easkey will fair in their first year at the senior grade. Anyone to stop Calry going for 8 in a row this year?

Final now changed to Sunday, why Co Board fixed it for Saturday and not give teams the extra day after the midweek madness is unfathomable
