The new Cork manager - coach

Replying To woops:  "I am not against a Kerryman taking over Cork but I dont see where Jack O Connor or Pat O Shea would have the interest, no matter what they got offered. They have done it with Kerry so couldn't see them having the hunger for Cork

Whereas Tomas O Se possibly is only starting out in coaching thus would have the hunger and drive to manage Cork and do well so to put himself in the ring for the Kerry job in time to come. You scratch my Cork, I will scratch your back relationship with Cork that could work out beneficial to both.
But maybe Tomas has been too critical of the Cork player in the press thus I dont think he would get all the players rowing in the one direction with him.
John Cleary has done tremendous work with Cork underage but would he command the respect by the players to put their body on the line game in ,game out?"
I take your point and I actually don't disagree BUT Cleary and O'Se is topical and frankly.... stating the obvious. Cork is not like any other county with the shenanigans that go on with our CB! I think, if only for once, try importing someone with pedigree from another county with a mandate to win a Munster within 2 years. As things stand... that would be progress...! Forget about us giving Mayo a fright.... Mayo are an illusion. Few people, if any, understand our County Board. Cork should have candidates queuing up for the managerial position. It IS a challenge!
