Paul Geaney is one of the best forwards in the country at the moment surely.

Spot on. Galway v Kerry in Croker park is a win for Kerry. No question about it. catch22 (USA) - Posts: 2148 - 29/07/2017 15:01:13 2025353 Link 0 |
I think this lad is trying to rally the troops I think coming out with the most stupid statement like that just shows how desperate he is, look nobody is giving Galway a chance , if Kerry are better than us on the day so be it we won't be the first team to get a hidding from Kerry its a good year when you get to play either Dublin or Kerry in croker you know your going in the right direction ,Galway is split in 2 with hurling and football so from the small pick of clubs we are doing alright and we have a great chance of winning the hurling.

all your stats are correct. It is a 50/50 game on the basis that Galway have beaten Mayo 2 straight years. If Dublin did that you would be impressed. It is not a given that Kerry win despite what the media and posters have said. Galway are hungry. I am a huge admirer of Kerry, but I am a cautious optimist from Galway. Best of luck either way

Really looking forward to this one. Galway are complete underdogs but with some class forwards. Hope they get into it from the start. Kerry are looking closer to the best and will be full on so I expect them to win. Galway though are a team that could give them a scare. jonno (Kildare) - Posts: 260 - 30/07/2017 08:10:03 2025679 Link 0 |
I hope I'm wrong but I can't see anything but a big Kerry win. Second half to bore us to death, it'll be that one sided tiobraid (Tipperary) - Posts: 4119 - 30/07/2017 10:09:18 2025728 Link 0 |
Inclined to agree with that. Could well be a double digit scoreline unless the Galway back line have the game of their collective lives. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13718 - 30/07/2017 10:23:55 2025737 Link 0 |
If Galway take Kerry on in a shoot out they will get annihilated and Kevin Walsh should be seriously criticised for being so naieve as_ky (Kerry) - Posts: 535 - 30/07/2017 12:00:53 2025795 Link 0 |
I think Kerry's overdog status coming into this game could quickly translate into pressure if Galway get off to a good start. Kerry are proven front runners, but if the game starts to deviate from script the experience factor which Kerry could rely on in previous years is a bit diluted compared to any time in the last decade plus. Overconfidence is as big a danger as a lack of it. Galway don't know themselves yet, and so most predictions of an easy Kerry win are based on this variability. If Galway get enough ball they can win this. The question is will they? Pericles (Mayo) - Posts: 2521 - 30/07/2017 12:03:32 2025798 Link 0 |

Agree Galway FBL getting roasted esp FB - they need to get the ball into their own FFL quick as they have beating of Kerrys FBL.

Kerry full forward line is excellent, stop Donaghy though and they are easier managed, question is how do you stop him? have Dublin a man that can handle him? Tirchonaill1 (Donegal) - Posts: 2758 - 30/07/2017 14:31:52 2025874 Link 0 |

About as much intensity in this game as at an over 45s 5-a-side game at the Astro. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13718 - 30/07/2017 14:34:54 2025878 Link 2 |
I think after watching last night it's clear that they've abandoned the black card I think. They only seem to give them when it's late in the game. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13718 - 30/07/2017 14:41:07 2025882 Link 0 |
I've said it before, the black card was brought in to specifically target Ulster sides and players. It doesn't get applied anywhere else and before people accuse me if paranoia I've been saying this since it was brought in. Kerry are a very, very cynical side but you can't say that on HS or anywhere else in the Southern media.

Poor enough game with absolutely no intensity. Galway are paying Kerry far too much respect. Green_Gold (Donegal) - Posts: 1876 - 30/07/2017 14:42:48 2025884 Link 0 |
