Well done Multy on winning the junior, great to see them eventually breaking through. They are due to play Crossabeg Ballymurn (WX) in the Leinster semi now, according to the Leinster Website.

Keep it going now Multy. Won't be easy but can be won and it's at home.

Erin rovers will work hard but they are very limited ,particularly upfront, they won't get anyway near Multy

the lynams and richard fox would be erin rovers best players . they are a seasoned team and wont be easily beaten

Very unfair lads. Think Erin Rovers were the Offaly intermediate winners. Multy are junior. Anyway told they are not great outside of Pullough.

Don't know much about Multyfarnham, guys, so I cant comment much on them. But I do know that Erin Rovers are a very good side, especially at this grade. I would also argue that they've overcome the tougher side of the draw to get this far too. Erin Rovers have really gotten their act together at adult level in the last couple of years and this championship win has been coming. I actually fancied them to win it last year, but it wasn't to be. Had them picked straight away this year and in the end they were deserving and comprehensive winners. They were far and away the best team at the grade in Offaly this year.
The Westmeath representatives have performed very well at Junior and Intermediate grades over the years (better than Offaly anyway). So I'm expecting Multyfarnham to keep that bar raised high. But in saying that, I still expect Erin Rovers to come through because I feel that they're our best representatives at this level for a long time, and maybe even ever.
The Offaly championships were reduced in size a few years back, with 8 teams now playing Senior, 8 in Senior B and 8 in Intermediate. Offaly club football isn't at the very top of the tree, but by no means are we whipping boys either. The reduced championship size is probably helping to improve our competitiveness in each of the grades of provincial championship every year. With Erin Rovers winning the intermediate this year, they are in reality the 17th best (at worst) side in Offaly. Bigger club championships, like Meath for example, have 18 (I think?) teams in their senior and intermediate championships.

Sounds like it will be a very good game. Erin Rovers are getting good right ups and Multy are very good in my opinion. Beat Ballynacargy who were the hottest of favourites in county final then won away in Wicklow and Wexford.

Can't see anything but a Multy win, offaly club football is terrible and even though yiou say Erin Rovers won the intermediate,Intermediate in offaly is the equivalent to junior in westmeath.Multy are a good young team who are could be a senior outfit in the not too distant future, erin rovers whilst doing well have probably peaked at this stage.

don't see where this confidence in Westmeath club football is coming from.
it'll be a real battle.

Its going to be a right battle with plenty of interest- Judging by the chats here seems like a 50/50 battle, But I have to agree with Mister Sparrow- wins away from home and beating a very good Ballynacargy side will stand to multy and Looking at the results from the Biffo champ - The Pullough men Breezed their champ..which to me isn't a good thing. I think multy will edge it but will have to be at the same level they were at in the county final.

You seem to be spending your morning knocking Westmeath on various forum items.

Multy need to start well had an awful start in wexford and only for keeper making a great save they could have been six points down at half time .They did well to fight back this is going to be very tough but I've written them off all year and I've been wrong every time .Here's for a great game away
