Bal upped the anti last night. Poor spirited game. Maybe it will do Multy good in the long run time will tell. Overall each team has beaten the other by 7 points. Bal still the hot favourites for the title.

Absolutely crazy last 5 minutes in the Delvin v Joes game yesterday, Joes hit a goal at the struck of full time to go 5 up and Delvin replied with 2-01 in a 3 minute spell. That's surely Delvin topping that group?? Do 2 teams go forward from this group? Bal made light work of Loughnavalley in the opening game.

So it's Kilbeggan , Josephs, Delvin and winners of Mullingar/ Athlone for quarters then ?

I think Mullingar have to play Shandonagh in the second playoff game of the group. Mullingar, The Downs and Shandonagh finished on level points.

Shamrocks defeated The Downs yesterday and now play Shandonagh in what was a 3 way play off. Winners play Athlone this weekend for place in quarter finals. I fancy Athlone to come through, they gave Garrycastle a trimming in the other group play off.

I see Athlone beat Delvin so I assume they are playing Multy in the other Semi?

Id imagine bal should win this, I have seen multy play a few times, they are a good football team and would probably stay intermediate if promoted but the killer instinct of winning a final is not there for me. Bal by 4 / 5 points.

Id have to agree with this- but also I think Multy wont be able for the physical battle.. Easy win for Bal by 7-8 points

If I was a Multy player I wouldn't worry about any physical battle, Bal showed their hand the last day , Multy will be well able from them in that respect. What Multy have to worry about is tradition which is a major thing.

My heart would love to see Multy win because it would be great for other junior clubs to see it is possible to achieve and it is going to happen for them to much under age talent coming through for them to stay in the junior ranks, But I think Bal will win this one playing at a much higher level for too long also very good at getting goals

DRAW game looked like bal were going to run away with had a great start .multy fought back .Major turning point bal keeper sent off penalty multy and saved by sub keeper .multy couldn't make numerical advantage count .Awful scenes at the end both team got into massive brawl. Replay at four next Saturday an hour earlier cause the evenings a bet

I've seen worse fights at pre-school. I'd say there would have been twice as much injury time if it wasn't getting dark. Great game. Well done both teams.
