Stephen Kelly from Limerick, some pace when he set off on a solo run from wing forward

None of these guys were as fast as Ardoyne, Pearses or St. Enda's players going across tbe Shankill for games in West Belfast.

Fastest over last number of years is Eamonn Wallace of Meath as he is a actual sprint champ, however injury has plagued him, Graham Reilly has speed but only in bursts, beggy was something else in the past , the one problem was the finished shot could go anywhere lol.
Realdub will probably confirm this, but after the saga of 91 paddy Cullen said that after the goal went in when he saw jinxie with the ball and time up he thought well at least its him he won't score, then he popped over a magnificent point.

A thought struck me when reading the players mentioned as pacey, they are all quite inconsistent players. Is that a fair assessment? When they can't get past players they have no other tricks up their sleeves.

something along those lines, I think we were hoping it wasn't Flynn that got that ball, then whoops, listen, just keep quiet ok :D

Replying To HurlingSnob:  "Should have won at least 3 Munster medals? At least 3 means he should maybe have won 4 or 5. Very generous considering he won none. I know he lost 4 Munster finals but to say he should have won all of those is ridiculous. He played in 4 finals and they took Kerry to a replay in one and lost narrowly to Cork in another. So I'd say he should have won at least one Munster medal. Not disputing his pace though."
Off topic but should read "could have won at least 3 munster medals" rather than should have. And could have won 4 or 5 - specifically 1) 2004 when we were desperately unlucky to draw the first day v kerry, 2) 2005 semi final when we were screwed beyond belief and kerry won narrowly (went on to win the final comfortably) 3) 2006 semi final should've beaten Cork who won the final comfortably 4) 2009 final lost by a point when Cork got a disgraceful penalty decision and 5) 2010 when we lost by 2 or 3 despite leading for most of it.

Fastest players in the country or very close to it would be Cian Mackey or Seanie Johnston.

Replying To Green_Gold:  "Eamon Wallace of Meath, Eoin McHugh of Donegal, Danny Cummins of Galway, Paul Kerrigan and of course Kevin McMenamin"
Kevin McMenamin's feet are so fast that the refs think he has only taken 4 steps when in fact he has taken 10.

Seanie looks like he is running in quicksand, not the fastest but can take a point.

Eamonn Wallace like said before he has experience sprinting..good point about lads being very fast and many being inconsistent...Good old John Mullane down here in Waterford had great acceleration always got the yard on his marker most days!!

Fastest over the last couple of years to solo was Jack McCaffery. In the past it would have been Jinxie, however for skill and speed it was Tom. Prendergast.

I seen paddy say words to that effect in a documentary on the games. But I think the language may have been more colourful.

Replying To TheFlaker:  "I marked M Donnellan in a club game back in the day, what a nightmare that was. Absolute beast!"
Ha ha I know that feeling, I was opposite him in a soccer match before and his pace was blistering. He did a lot of whining to the ref in that game, although more of a reflection on me than him!
