The last 14 remaining in football championship

If Carlow keep improving at their current rate then they would be in the A championship anyway. They have been brilliant this year but not sure you can use this one example to say there should be no B championship. I still feel some sort of B championship would be beneficial, there are too many team who are out of the championship by the end of June, surely they can't improve. There has to be a really great incentive for winning the B championship (if it is ever introduced), not sure what that is but it can't be allowed to go the way of the Tommy Murphy cup.

With all this talk of putting Carlow into some second tier championship draw you are forgetting what they have done for the country this year. Were it not for Carlow and human rights violations against D Connolly we would not have Jim Gavins impassioned statement on the rights of citizens of the republic.
A statement that I firmly believe will in the fullness of time be viewed in the same light as Pearse's oration at the graveside of O'Donovan Rossa. It will surely lead to a bright new dawn in Ireland, fair play and justice for all, a resolution of the National Question and who knows maybe better weather.

So here's to Carlow and Up the Republic.

What the Carlow man is celebrating is the run and experience of the sequence of games. It's great time to see Carlow there longer than Wexford or Meath or teams that would generally experience more than 2 games. No B championship game would replace a home game packed to the rafters against a team with notions about themselves and trotting about the field with their huge guns. They can live the dream and things can happen. Up Carlow."
Nobody's joking but stating the obvious. Where do you get last 14 . should have waited until 6.30 Saturday and aramgh Tipperary game over and then said last 13 before Carlow's match started.
But it is joking how some teams are at same stages while winning 3 matches and other winning 1

another ridiculous post which is taking a swipe at the county which the poster is from for absolutely no reason. can we all stop this please.
If a poster mentions something which another poster disagrees with, can he not be childish (unless of course you are a child, in which case it is probably acceptable).

also you are incorrect, Cavan would not have reached the last 12 by beating Ofally and Tipp.

So consider yourself well and truly chastised.

Great boost for Carlow and all gaa people in the county. Carlow's profile is rising, another Christy Ring for their hurlers who are making constant progress and an all-ireland camogie title last year.

The gaa is not all about the big boys, we need the Carlows, Laois, Fermanaghs, Longfords etc to have their big days out too."
Jeez when I started your post I thought you were talking about your Kildare neighbours!

You never know St. Conleth, the Laois boys might set aside old animosities for the day this Sunday and support Kildare!

Love to see Carlow get the win against Monaghan as I went to college there for long enough and know what it means to some down that way. Really Can't see it happening but I didn't think trump would win either !

Monaghan team & management DONT have notions about themselves. A few fans may have loose mouths but the bulk of us are reserved enough.

Replying To CastleBravo:  "There's no such thing as the last 14, you haven't reached further than other teams in qualifier round 3 just because your game throws in later than theirs. It sounds like that joke of the manager saying "the longer we stay in this dressing room, the longer we stay in the championship!".

On top of that, I doubt any team will ever get a draw as lucky as London+Leitrim in the qualifiers ever again. As usual the 99% of games are ignored and one game selectively chosen in order to prove a point. There's a 99% chance that next year Carlow will lose their first round in Leinster, then lose their first qualifier too."
Someone woke up on the wrong side of bed.

In fairness Lilywhite I know a few Laois lads that will be rooting for us tomorrow.

The odds are far less than 99%. They win their first round every 7 years or so that's a 15% chance of a win in Leinster and about the same for their first round qualifier so a 70% chance they'll be knocked out in the first round of both. Hyperbole."
72.25%. Fact!
