Replying To CTGAA10:  "ticket situation is dire and doesnt look like improving..there were 13 of us at the semi final only 3 have secured tickets for sunday.ive met peope from other counties who always go to hurling finals and they cant lay a hand on one.its a shame but i dont know how it can be dealt with.the ideas people have of producing ticket stubs from league games is a good one,the season ticket doesnt suit everyone as employment interferes with times of gaa games.i must wish all involved with the team the very best of luck on sunday, and even if we dont make croke park we will definitely meet ye when ye make it back on monday, and please god liam will also be present."
Its a tough one. Its just a shame it wasn't KK either of us were facing in the final and it would be no bother! Even arguably the same with Tipp. But when its a Limerick, Cork, Waterford, Clare etc tickets are going to be a nightmare

I'm not sure there's a great deal else they can do beyond the season ticket. For me living in England, I cant go the season ticket route either. I've flown over for the Leinster final, the Clare semi (drawn game as well as Cork Limerick) and now coming on Saturday again.

only 3 of the 13 shows how hard it must be in Limerick.

I think someone needs to retract this and instead update the banner to say thanks for setting us back 8 years haha!

tickets sorted, dreading the day if truth be told , been in croke park 6 times on all ireland final day 3 seniors 3 minors , lost them all, the thought of being beaten again is chilling, on the other hand if thing go our way could be the greatest day of our lives,

Last week and this week all talk has been tickets ticket tickets, but tickets are freeing up now so talk is now of the game , Build up has been good here flags all over the house and all over the county,

Going to take a monumental effort to beat this excellent galway side , but we are playing very well and got a great chance. We are due a break ,, please please please let us win this one

Good luck lads , Luimneach Abu

The excitement is starting to build. As I think about this match, I'm pleased to note that most of the pundits are opting for Galway as it takes a bit of pressure of the team. It shouldn't be like that but that's the way it is. We'll get plenty of good press and praise if we win.

My reckoning at the start of the season was for a Top 4 finish on the basis that this team would need more time to mature and that 2020 was a likely, reasonable target date to win an All Ireland. By that reckoning, we are ahead of target but the reality is that when you get there - you have to win as getting back is not easily done. That said, if we win one - we could win multiple because this is a team that's going to get even better in the future. There is significant scope for improvement in this team. Young players like Hayes, Gillane etc will be even better in the future. Also we have real talent bubbling up behind the starting XV that will drive further improvement.

The immediate challenge is to break the sound barrier and win against a very mature Galway team. I think we will have the chances to do this. My biggest concern is as to whether we will take those chances. We missed a lot of goal chances against both Cork and KK which very nearly came back to bite us. We have to convert against Galway.

I'm hoping that if Dowling does not start that he will be on as early as possible. He's a class forward and a guy who gets scores. I also think that he could do a lot of damage on McInerney. I'm hearing that Downes is also playing very well in training. It would be some achievement for him to play in the final and not in any other game but it could happen.

Roll on Sunday and Limerick ABU.

Great advice. Hopefully John Kiely will check in here for some tips before Sunday.

The winning and losing of this match will be the battle between our half forward line and there half back line. If they control/dominate this area then we are in for a tough afternoon. If we can match them then we have a right chance. We need Hayes/Hegerty/Morrissey to put in one serious shift for us. Galway are so powerful in this area and probably have a candidate for hurler of the year at no.5

Let's hope we can break even here in this area and supply our full forward line.

Hope you all got sorted with tickets. Most people that pushed a hard sell will get them. I'd say the Limerick season ticket will be a popular Christmas present this year!!

Cannot blame any one for not getting a season ticket for years but hard lessons learned. I'm in the Hill for my first time since 96 but I'm damn glad of it.

Finally, very best of luck to both teams & management on Sunday but hoping & praying for a limerick win of course. These lads have given us so much to talk about since 30th Dec & hopefully we will memories to keep us going till the munster league this year and looking forward to seeing all the new season.ticket holders!!

I am going to be in Hill 16 for the first time on Sunday. As far as I am aware, it is divided into sections and when one section is full you cannot go into it. What happens if I am in a full section and leave to go to the toilet/shop etc.? Will I get back in?

You will have no bother going to the toilet or shops. The terrace is broke into 3 sections. The nally to the left then you have the section behind the goals and the section to the right of the goals. So if you go into the gates which bring you to the right of the goals you wont be able to get into the middle section and vice versa. Cannot wait for Sunday its going to be some battle. Lets hope we come out the right side of it. Luimneach Abu.

Lucky enough to have my ticket, heart goes out to those who go to games and have not yet secured a ticket it is a poor system no doubt . The whole corporate thing drives me insane.
There will be certain people there on Sunday who have not been to a Limerick match at any level
They will be stuck on their smart phones taking selfies or what ever they do these days showing everyone they are at the final. Apart from that they have no interest in hurling and couldn't even name the team. So frustrating. Perhaps I am totally wrong and maybe a bit cynical ????

When I logged on here I expected to see the usual versions of the strarting Team listed out .
Not the case ??? So fellow posters is this a very positive sign that we all actually know our best starting 15 .
It really is amazing at least 40 k travelling and another 20 k tickets given out for the Gaelic Grounds ,
No shortage of support for this team , let's hope the rain holds off for the game and the lads fulfill their potential and return home with Liam to a serious crowd on Monday .
Very best of luck to the lads and safe journey to all . Luimneach Abu.

I agree 100% with you as regards lads and women going to the match that haven't been to a match all year but what you forgot to mention was that they will have the best seats in the house because they have connections with the county board , a priest , school principal or work in a bank and yes it will probably be their first match this year and they will spend their time taking selfies and complaining the weather is a bit cold , is it you turn to go to the bar ? ,Did we just score ?
. This sickens the life out of me who have spent all week trying to get a ticket and still have nothing . As for the lads whinging about having to go into hill 16 god it's a hard life and my heart bleeds for you . Catch a grip and be glad you have a ticket of any sort . The vast majority of supporters with no ticket will still travel to Dublin without a ticket hoping to get one up there and be glad of anything they get so if you have a ticket anywhere in the ground count yourself lucky as we just mind end the 45 year famine and it would be great to say you were there . Come on Limerick , Liam is missing long enough .
