As far as I know ye could also play Roscommon if they lose today . It's just to keep teams that previously met a part.

Replying To dingle2:  "A few comments on match:

Harrison should get at least 12 weeks for "spear tackle" on Sexton (who was no angel in the incident).

Clare lost Cathal O'Connor to injury (happened late in 1st half but came out for second and couldn't continue) and as he was having a super game control of midfield fell to Mayo on his departure.

Mayo's first goal was a harry karry moment for Clare and unfortunately their heads dropped. This goal, combined with O'Connor's departure, was the turning point of the game. Garry Brennan was having an off day all through the game and so midfield was turned over to Mayo and thus a quick second goal secured Mayo's win.

Mayo had six attacks in the first 15 minutes which resulted in one point and five wides (two from very scorable frees). This is their Achilles heel as they just not good enough up front.

Was impressed with Aidan O'Shea yesterday and as usual Lee Keegan was sublime.

Mayo now set up for a major fall against Kerry or Dublin.

Huge Mayo contingent travelled to Ennis with many making a weekend out of it so great craic out and about the town last night with most pubs well populated with Elvery jersies."
So every major incident now should be a 12 weeks ban based on the Diarmuid Connolly incident ? What are yuh smoking?

Agree Harrison very lucky not to see red though

To add and one thing you TV viewers didn't see was at the start of the second half Cillian took awful abuse from three Clare players pulling and digging at him...I know Cillian is well able to give it but he also takes a lot.

There are no angels at the level.

Are you trying to vindicate what Harisson did?

If the Rossies lose today we'll play them or Cork. If Galway lose we'll play Cork.

Correct if Galway lose today ye play cork but if the rossies lose they'll be a draw I'd be thinking for round 4

Replying To KingdomBoy1:  "Ye'r on the Monaghan tipp side no matter if ye win or lose Leinster realdub, the only disadvantage to losing Leinster is ye'd have one extra game.

On our side of the draw there is Donegal Mayo and they will play Cork and the losers from today's Connacht final in round 4 in 2 weeks time as far as I know."
Thanks lad

Very impressed with mayo in the second half they physically dominated Clare in the second half. Seems to be mayo are finishing games very strong. Plenty of life left in mayo I feel.

You mess with the bull, you get the horns young man...

Seriously, Harrison will most likely get a ban of some description now. He and a few Mayo players need to avoid being goaded into silly situations like this. Controlled aggression is the name of the game.

I do like the fact that this present Mayo side refuse to be bullied though, unlike some of the sides from the 90s and 2000s.

Could do with keeping the heads but we give as good as we get Clare were very physical plenty of pushing and shoving when the ball went dead.

Mayo were always going to be to strong for Clare. They'll roll over Cork without too much difficulty, and then we'll have a Kerry Mayo quarter. I can't wait.

He got his black card and that should be the end of it, we hope. Referee made his decision, he was lucky not to get red. Boyle was also lucky not to get any disciplinary action. A class act but needs to walk away more than get involved in someone else's row when the game is won and over.

Calm down there puck, we have to beat cork and I know on paper Mayo will be favourite and cork haven't played well but what's to stop them not putting in a performance. We are yet to set the world on fire. If we get past cork and play kerry or Roscommon what would happen.

The mayo guys are no longer shrinking violets that previous mayo teams were. However the players are being dragged into needless arguments on the pitch. Harrison should have walked away. The game was nearly over and mayo had won. The only good thing was he got a black card which I presume means nothing further will happen, suspension wise.
As for the game this mayo team knows only one way to play and that is running football. Hopefully for the next game, they will play like that from the first minute.
