Clare lost Cathal O'Connor to injury (happened late in 1st half but came out for second and couldn't continue) and as he was having a super game control of midfield fell to Mayo on his departure. To add and one thing you TV viewers didn't see was at the start of the second half Cillian took awful abuse from three Clare players pulling and digging at him...I know Cillian is well able to give it but he also takes a lot. Referee made his decision, he was lucky not to get red. Boyle was also lucky not to get any disciplinary action. Calm down there puck, we have to beat cork and I know on paper Mayo will be favourite and cork haven't played well but what's to stop them not putting in a performance. The mayo guys are no longer shrinking violets that previous mayo teams were. However the players are being dragged into needless arguments on the pitch. Harrison should have walked away. The game was nearly over and mayo had won. The only good thing was he got a black card which I presume means nothing further will happen, suspension wise. As for the game this mayo team knows only one way to play and that is running football. Hopefully for the next game, they will play like that from the first minute.
