Now that the group stages of most championships have been completed who do we think are going to go all the way? Here are my predictions based on what I have seen this summer;

Senior: We have already seen the 3 top teams play each other in the group stage - Balto, Pats and Rathnew. Will be very surprised if it's not one of these that lift Miley. Kiltegan deserve a mention too but I'm going to go for Balto to do it this year.

Intermediate: Hollywood won't be beaten. Only team that would run them close is Dunlavin but they are more than likely out (unless Kilmac can beat Ballinacor next weekend). I don't see anyone else challenging here.

Junior A: Very tight this year. The Kilcoole Valleymount game was a cracker. Think it is between these two and Balto. Laragh could push any team on their day too. Balto have been dishing out serious beatings recently so I am going to go for them.

Junior B: I had fancied Enniskerry to do it this year but Rathnew gave them a nice beating last night which I was surprised by. Arklow will be hard bet here too.

Junior C: Tinahely are very strong at this grade. Dillon is running the show for them and unless a team can stop him they won't stop Tinahely. Team that will run them closest will be Ashford or Kilcoole.

Interesting you have picked Rathnew. I am not disagreeing with you but I don't think they have shown any real form in the championship yet. Maybe they will have some big players back soon and that will change.

Does anyone know the scheduling for the various championship's past its current stage, Semi's & Finals? I know the County Board used to publish the dates in the master fixture book but doesn't seem to be anything this year!!

What are peoples thoughts on the quarters of the intermediate? Dunlavin and Ballymanus should come through? I see Hollywood were beaten without Hannon id say their over reliance on him is their Achilles heel?
In junior its likely to be Laragh V Valleymount and Kilcoole v Baltinglass in the semis. Too close to call really although I expect Kilcoole to make it to the final.

Not many games on this weekend. I fancy Rathnew to beat Annacurra in the Senior playoff and St Pats to beat Coolboy in the Junior A.

Pat's beat Coolboy by two. I believe it was an interesting game with an all in brawl which resulted in an ambulance and squad car being called as well as a yellow card being issued.

Yellow card to a Coolboy player for what began the brawl I believe. The ambulance was called as a result of a punch thrown by a Pats substitute I think (brawl happened in front of their bench), so he couldn't be red carded..I presume his name was taken by the ref though.. It certainly wasn't the only punch thrown by either side however, although the match would probably have been abandoned if red cards were shown to everyone throwing boxes...

It was strange though because there had been no real malice in the match or the original game until that point.

Nothing in it until A St Pats substitute hit a Coolboy player from the side. Looked like he was really hurt. All hell then broke loose. That substitute could get a very long suspension if reported

Would agree with all except Dunlavin,too hit and miss this year again and dont have a settled side for some reason very lucky to get out of group stages i have watched them this year and dont seem to have any plan for the games huge gaps at the back as everyone attacks at the same time and if they did get over Donard i couldnt see them up to beating anyone else left in the championship.
