zero F**ks given as usual by the hurling powers that be in Croke Park.

I wouldn't put all the blame on the GAA, could be the way TG4 are going down. woops (Kerry) - Posts: 2073 - 08/06/2017 15:02:17 1996978 Link 0 |
I presume its contractual so that if one match is on TV there isn't another on a different channel. RoyalBadger (Meath) - Posts: 571 - 08/06/2017 15:20:42 1996981 Link 1 |
Correct, blame lies firmly at the GAA's door, not TG4, Sky or whoever.

There will be more at the Antrim v Carlow game than there will be at Cork v Tipp cuchulainn35 (Armagh) - Posts: 1676 - 08/06/2017 16:31:25 1997010 Link 0 |

They are streaming it on-line I believe on TG4. Am I correct in saying that? The_Fridge (Tyrone) - Posts: 2088 - 09/06/2017 22:06:29 1997460 Link 0 |

A disgrace that these games are not been shown live. So much for promoting it in the very every counties that need it the most. ZUL10 (Clare) - Posts: 693 - 10/06/2017 00:19:01 1997479 Link 1 |
Can't believe the three finals today are not on tg4... it was one of the best days hurling on tv last year!! .... very bad .. a right PR opportunity lost .. hurler32 (Limerick) - Posts: 867 - 10/06/2017 13:56:10 1997575 Link 0 |
Its a bigger disgrace that these matches are not scheduled as they were originally intended -- as curtain raisers to a big senior championship match in Croke Park. Can't blame any TV station for not showing them since they could only come under the remit of "public service broadcasting". Broadcasting them live would be a big loss making exercise for RTE/TG4 and those 2 stations.

While I agree with you it would mean then that the winner would not be able to compete in the Liam Mc as Carlow now are. There is no big game in Croke Park at this time of year.
